Categories edit

Hello. Regarding these recent edits of yours [1], [2], I noticed you attempted to add items directly to a category page.

In Wikipedia, we do not add articles to a category by editing the category page, we add them by editing the individual articles' pages and linking the category from there. For newer editors, it's understandably a counter-intuitive system. Category pages are not intended to be exhaustive lists; in fact, they are not lists at all. Categories are navigation aids. They are merely groupings of related, existing English Wikipedia pages.

To categorize a page, you must go to the page you wish to categorize and add the category at the bottom of the page with the other categories, first making sure the page actually belongs to the category.

Please read Wikipedia:Categorization and Help:Category for more information and clarification.

Let me know if you need any assistance or have any questions. Thank you and have a great day! --DB1729 (talk) 04:56, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your username edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "ClickRomaniaUK", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because usernames that appear to represent a specific company, organization, group, etc, are not allowed per WP:PROMONAME. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:15, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

May 2022 edit

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 12:51, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
