Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Euka Homeschooling

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Euka Homeschooling, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Seraphimblade Talk to me 07:24, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

sorry for using this name. I do work for an agency but my purpose of these articles is to discuss organisations histories, with no intention of promoting the organisation. The only organisations I wish to publish an article are those that contribute to society within Australia

Decline reason:

This is still just the name of your organization. per WP:CORPNAME

"Because Wikipedia's policy is that usernames should not be shared between more than one individual, the following types of usernames are not permitted because they imply shared use:

  • Usernames that are simply names of companies or groups are not permitted (these also fall under Promotional names).
  • Personal usernames that imply shared access, such as "Jack and Jill", are not permitted.
  • Usernames that are names of posts within organizations, such as "Secretary of the XY Foundation", are not permitted, as such a post may be held by different persons at different times.
  • However, usernames are acceptable if they contain a company or group name but are clearly intended to denote an individual person, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", "WidgetFan87", etc."
Due to your WP:conflict of interest promotional edits, you will not be unblocked at first to edit about this subject. Please describe concisely and clearly what topics you would write about. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 07:15, 12 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

That username is taken, please choose something else. Your username is not the only issue here, as noted previously. 331dot (talk) 01:15, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

May I ask why detailing a homeschool organisation is different from the following page? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis-Yarmouth_Regional_High_School

You really may not. Use of your talk page while you are blocked is to discuss why you should be unblocked. And I'm not sure why you think a US high school would be relevant to a homeschool provider in Australia, anyway. But the primary problem was that the material you wrote was completely composed of puffery and "talked up" the organization, and that part's true across the board—Wikipedia does not permit promotion of anyone or anything, and requires all article material to be strictly neutral in both tone and content. Now, you may either pick an appropriate and unused username and indicate that you understand that and will not do it again going forward, and agree to comply with our paid editing requirements including mandatory disclosures, or you may remain blocked. Your choice. (Note I'm not guaranteeing an unblock if you do the former, but it's the only way it would even be considered.) Seraphimblade Talk to me 05:05, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have updated this to be my name as well as my year of birth to be completely transparent who is editing or producing this content.

You will not be unblocked to do this. If this is your only goal, this is the end of the line. Yamla (talk) 12:39, 23 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Due to your promotional edits and WP:conflict of interest, you will not be unblocked to write about Euka Homeschooling. Since you asked. Please see Wikipedia:Schools. Public high schools generally meet inclusion requirements. A private school is more like a business and must meet WP:NCORP. Please describe what constructive edits you would make unrelated to any conflict of interest. It is clear from your user name that you must read and heed WP:PAID.
