Sources

edit

Hi Ckick, regarding your edit here, you need to specify your specific sources. It's unclear what the numbers you added refer to. More, even if you meant the first and second sources in the References section, those numbers are automatically assigned, and will change if someone adds a new source before them in the article, meaning the mumbers you added will then refer to the wrong sources. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 02:21, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi BilCat, I am very new to Wikipedia and this is my first article, which I have to edit for a class. I just wanted to thank you for pointing out my mistake, and I believe that I have fixed it. If there are any problems please let me know! -CKick

No problem, Wikipedia can take some getting used to. It actually took me a long time to learn how to cite sources without help. Before that, I just looked in the article for a citation similar to what I was using, copied it, and then changed it to my source's information. Your citation still needs work, but since you're doing it for a class, you probably need to try to learn how to do it on your own. If you would read Wikipedia:Citing sources, it will explain how to do it. If that's too much to absorb at one time, let me know, and I'll try to walk you though it. - BilCat (talk) 04:43, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
