Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Cjshoes! Thank you for your contributions. I am HiLo48 and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. If you wish to contact me on this page, please use {{Ping|HiLo48}} such that I get notified of your request. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! HiLo48 (talk) 23:13, 4 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:16, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

My apologies for citing incorrectly and looking like I was promoting a brand. My intention was not to advertise the brand in any way but to show third party articles that supported my facts. I will edit these citings. Please note that I feel the block is no longer necessary because I understand why I was blocked. I will not do it again and I will make productive contributions.

Decline reason:

No thanks. If you'd like to write about subject matters for which you have no conflict of interest, please follow the instructions above. Yamla (talk) 18:18, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

{{unblock reviewed | 1= I do not have a conflict of interest. I am a design student interested in up and coming women's footwear brands. I plan to write pages about other women's footwear brands as well. What can I do to get unblocked. I would truly appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

Either you are attempting to mislead us here or you are attempting to mislead us over at File:FSP Black Organization Logo.png. There, you explicitly claimed you owned the copyright on that image. It is not possible for both statements to be true. Which is it and why did you attempt to mislead us in the other case? --Yamla (talk) 10:09, 21 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

{{unblock reviewed | 1= Yamla, I would never mislead anyone as that is not in my nature. I'm new to figuring out how to write a wiki page properly which is not an easy task. I had received permission from Femmes Sans Peur to use their logo before I uploaded it here. I must have clicked the incorrect box when uploading the logo. I'm trying to do good here allowing the world to learn about footwear new brands and I'm only receiving hostility which I did not expect from the wiki community that I have always looked up to. Fenty, Supreme, Off White, Zara just a few big fashion brands that have wiki pages. Why should lesser known brands not have a page as well?

So you are here to tell the world about "lesser known brands", that's the definition of promotion. Wikipedia does not give equal time to all brands in a field, it depends on coverage in independent reliable sources. Wikipedia has articles, not mere "pages". I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I must decline your request. If you want to edit about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. 331dot (talk) 19:27, 25 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
