Thanks for your message. Your area of research sounds interesting, though it's not something of which I have any specialist knowledge. I'm not quite sure who "we" are, who are doing the research - are you representing an organisation, or is this a group of Wikipedia editors? In general, if you're looking for support and collaboration in working on a group of articles, a Wikipedia:WikiProject may prove helpful; for a smaller-scale effort, contacting editors who have already edited in the area via their talk pages may help generate interest. I don't know whether or not you are correct in believing that there are likely to be efforts to undermine your work, but I recommend being WP:BOLD and getting started, while also remaining ready to discuss on relevant talk pages, and ensuring that your contributions are clearly referenced (which it seems you are already committed to). If a dispute does arise, Wikipedia:Dispute resolution explains the processes for resolving it, but hopefully everyone will act in good faith, and there will be no need to resort to this. Hi ChuckWingate! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia.
Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Doctree (I'm a Teahouse host)
