It's a bad idea to edit your own article

edit

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Christine Bersola-Babao. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 03:02, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Formal warning for editing conduct

edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Christine Bersola-Babao, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. There were two sections you should not have deleted. First was a controversy section backed up by reliable sources; if you think there's an issue with that section, explain it at the talk page and wait for consensus to be reached among multiple editors. Second, you deleted the categories, reference list generation code, and other necessary material from the bottom of the article. —C.Fred (talk) 03:19, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Jianhui67. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Christine Bersola-Babao without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!   Hello, ChristineBabao. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Christine Bersola-Babao, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. ///EuroCarGT 03:24, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Christine Bersola-Babao shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Do not remove the controversy section from the article. You can explain why you think it should be removed at Talk:Christine Bersola-Babao, but wait for other editors to agree and one of them to remove it; do not remove it yourself. —C.Fred (talk) 03:33, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Christine Bersola-Babao, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Manway 03:34, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:ChristineBabao

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:ChristineBabao requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.smartparenting.com.ph/parenting/parent-child-fun-activities/pinoy-authors-series-15-minutes-with-tintin-bersola-babao. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —C.Fred (talk) 03:53, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

October 6, 2013

Dear Wikipedia Admin ,

I am Christine Bersola Babao. I am the subject of this wiki source which contains info that have to be corrected and deleted. I created a Wiki Account for the main and crucial purposes of :

1) correcting many wrong info about me in this wikipedia source which anybody can just edit :

example : Bulacan, I was not born in Bulacan . Iwas born in Manila, fyi. Whoever posted that info is wrong.

2) The Television , Radio and Movie history/ profile is incomplete. I have been trying to add, within the last hour, this info BELOW which should be under Movies but it has never been posted :

Dolzura Cortez, directed by Laurice Guillen Kung Ako Na Lang Sana, directed by Joey Javier Reyes Movie: Blue Moon, cameo role. Directed by Joel Lamangan

3) this is my FIRST TIME to create an account with the username Christine Babao . Is anybodyelse using my IP address or email associated with my name for the purpose of editing this wiki info ?

4) I have probably violated the THREE Revert Rule while editing the info about me. This is because i do not know anything about the 3 Revert Rule, Secondly, i have been trying to edit but i DO NOT see the results of my edit, Hence, ive been trying to edit several times within the hour. Forgive me if this is an honest mistake.

5) how exactly did i become guilty of VANDALISM ? i just shared exterior LINKS to helpful articles written about me. Why do i do this: it is because, this Wiki account is being unfair by only posting CONTROVERSIES ABOUT ME - and not BALANCING IT BY POSTING THE EQUALLY POSITIVE articles about me and my career. YOU SHOULD Exercise FAIRNESS by posting helpful positive articles and NOT JUST THE NEGATIVE ONES.

6) With the CONTROVERY section - why can i not delete this ? this is a delicate matter about me , an ATTACK ON my person and my career. I Had added the link of the article ( A LESSON IN HUMILITY ) which i personally wrote in my Phil Star column in APRIL 2013, specifically addressing that GAY CONTROVERSY. Why not include my link to my article IN THE CONTROVERSY section of yours  ?

WHY DONT YOU BE FAIR and add that link since that will BALANCE off the CONTROVERSIAL LINKS you ALLOWED to be posted by OTHER AUTHORS who i remotely even know !

7) i hope to have a speedy response to your SPEEDY BLOCKING of my account in this wiki website. Which is NOT REALLY reliable because it has so many errors.

yourstruly, Christine Babao

  • You are blocked because you were edit warring in the article. There are plenty of warnings for that on this very talk page. The matter of balance in such articles (biographies of living people--see WP:BLP) is an important matter, and if you care to look you will see that I have significantly trimmed negative content. What remains appears to be well-verified, and thus seems to be relevant, at least according to reliable sources (see WP:RS). I am not going to unblock you, since you have been warned plenty and didn't seem to see the need to address the matter until after you were blocked. What I will do is post a note on WP:BLPN, asking other editors to look into the matter--and maybe find references to add more information (hopefully, the kind of information you would call positive). But until you acquaint yourself with our policies and guidelines, and until you can state that you will edit in agreement with them, you will not be unblocked. At that time, you can post an "unblock" request, instructions for which are found in the blocking template, above. Finally, signing your name with four tildes is done by typing ~~~~. Thank you.
