Esports reliable sources edit

Hi there! Thank you for your recent contributions to various esports-related articles. While the content you have added is good, your sourcing is sometimes not. Please make sure that you only use references to reliable sources; for example, Esports Earnings, Dexerto, Sportskeeda, and Escorenews are examples of non-reliable sources. To see a partial list of reliable and unreliable sources relating to video games, see WP:VG/RS. If you have any questions, let me know! – Pbrks (t • c)

Thanks! The Reliable Sources for Video Games looks super useful, I appreciate it. Hopeful you notice this, but is responding on my own talk page below you the usual way to communicate? Or am I supposed to also @ you, or respond on your page? Chaddude (talk) 20:37, 4 March 2022 (UTC)Chaddude14Reply
Yeah, the results from that search engine will definitely return reliable results, but it misses also some good sources (e.g. Upcomer), so it's not perfect. To ping someone, you can use {{ping|<username>}}. Note that the ping will only work if you also sign your comment (by typing ~~~~ at the end of the comment) within the same edit. – Pbrks (t • c) 21:53, 28 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi Chaddude. Since the draft had been waiting to be reviewed for quite some time, I went ahead and did it. However, I had to make some major changes to it before it could be moved to the mainspace. If you would like to talk about any of the content that was added/removed, feel free to discuss it with me here. – Pbrks (t • c) 00:05, 5 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'm glad to see the article made in through, even if it couldn't be as in depth as I wish it could have been. It's a good reference point for how to write/edit future articles on esports players, so hopefully I can start on those. Thanks for all your help! Chaddude (talk) 00:38, 5 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sourcing edit

Please do not add citations that do not verify the sentences you are citing them for. For example, in this edit to PSG Talon, the sources you cited to verify "For the group stage of MSI 2021, PSG Talon was placed in Group B, along with Europe's MAD Lions, Brazil's paiN Gaming, and Turkey's Istanbul Wildcats." and "PSG Talon finished second in their group, bith [sic] four wins and their two losses coming from first-place MAD Lions, and qualified for the "rumble" stage of the tournament." did not actually verify these sentences. My bad, is the issue the lack of direct wording/paraphrasing? My general thought process was that for the former, the Group Draw listed the PCS Region winner (which was confirmed to be PSG Talon by the DOT esports link earlier) as being in Group B along with the EU/BRZ/TUR winners. For the latter I just made an assumption that a power ranking of the 6 teams in the rumble stage would suffice as verification that PSG Talon did in fact, make it to the rumble stage. Hello, Chaddude14,

An editor nominated this article for AFD again and although you greatly expanded the article, you are not the page creator so you wouldn't ordinarily receive an automatic notification. But I thought you would want to know so you can address any comments editors have about the revamped article. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 22:59, 13 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

LoL Esports Pages edit

Hi Chad, I just added the details for LCS Summer 2022 and noticed you contribute a lot to various LoL Esports pages. I used to do a lot of editing on Gamepedia, but moved on when it merged into Fandom. I would love to start getting in to editing LoL pages and having some discussions with you about that if that's possible. My Discord username is on my page if you'd like to contact me. Thanks! -- Xehny 12:37, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
