ABA Chemicals and archiving your talk page edit

Hello. This is TheSmartPersonUS1, and I want to thank you for adding citations and more information to the ABA Chemicals article. But I will remind you that you can archive your talk page. Use any of these templates (go into source code and copy and paste the one you want) But if you want to turn this page into an archive, add the /archive suffix with the number of archives there are (currently, 0)

Thank you for your additions and references for Buzzi Unicem. Now it is safe from deletion, after my delaying tactics.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 17:04, 2 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Curiosity (rover) ~ edit

Hi Ceyockey! Can you tell me how NASA Technical Reports Server's (NTSR), on a report from NASA here is an "attributable to predatory publisher"? By the way nice to meet you. ~mitch~ (talk) 01:02, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • @Mitchellhobbs: You had me worried there for a minute that I'd removed this in error. The chapter referenced is in the book "Radioisotopes: Applications in Physical Sciences", where it is the last chapter of the book, which was published by IntechOpen, which has been highlighted as a predatory publisher and which has an abuse filter deployed against it. See Wikipedia:Edit filter/Requested#Special:AbuseFilter/891: More predatory publishers for the abuse filter request, and Special:AbuseFilter/891 for the edit filter itself. One of the triggers for this edit filter is the DOI substring "10.5772", which appears in the citation parameter "doi=10.5772/23914", which was found in my "insource" search. The URL in the citation DOES point at NASA, but it is a 'locally hosted' abstracted chapter from the book and not a technical report per se. Hope that sufficiently explains my edit. I'm doing searches to manually remove citations to this publisher which took place before the introduction of the edit filter / abuse filter. Thanks for your work Ceyockey ~ I kinda figured that DOI triggered the filter ~ I did not read to the bottom ~ ~mitch~ (talk) 02:19, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
