Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. I'm not sure what you were trying to do here: you tagged the article {{db-web}} but then contested deletion on the talk page. WP:CSD#A7 is a deliberately low bar, requiring only an credible assertion of importance, and "a major online resource for the academic field of linguistics... thousands of subscribers all over the world.. " is enough to pass it. Consider taking the article to AfD if you like, but IMO there is enough there for notability, and the large number of incoming links and the fact that the article has been around for years both suggest that it should be kept. I have contested your proposed deletion of this article because I do not understand your rationale Uses the word "Lords". Proposed deletion is the way to suggest that an article is a candidate for uncontroversial deletion, as this is an article about a major UK political party I don't see how use of the word Lords makes it a candidate for deletion. I see you have just started using Twinkle. if this was a test of suing Twinkle please try and be careful about how you use it. NtheP (talk) 17:36, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
