Speedy deletion nomination of Primary Residential Mortgage

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Primary Residential Mortgage, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. @WikiDan61: I am not sure that if I agree that our page was unambiguous advertising as it had information similar to the Wells Fargo Wiki page and the Prospect Mortgage Wiki Page. We were not promoting anything nor trying to direct people to call us or any other type of advertising. The information was about the company and our Core Values with one award listed. That award had a reference as well. However, what do I need to do so I can make this a useful page. I read the the guide to writing your first article and probably should save it to sandbox prior to making it live. Could I get that content back so I can save it in the sandbox and review the Wikipedia's policies and guidelines to make sure the page complies. Cdanson (talk) 15:05, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

You'll note that neither the Wells Fargo page nor the Prospect Mortgage page list those companies' "core values". Touting one's core values is generally considered a form of advertising, and is disallowed at Wikipedia. The fact that you speak in the first person when speaking about Primary Residential Mortgage tells me that you are an employee of that company, in which case you should review Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy. @WikiDan61: So the core values is considered advertisement? I have started the page again and it is my sandbox so I can have the community review it. I am trying to shy away from first person to third person and stay neutral. You can see on my user page that have written the disclaimer that conflict of interest policy states I should do. However the policy doesn't explain in detail how I should explain my relationship. Thanks for your help, I will try to get this article done and have the community review it. Your sandbox article is better (not promotional) but it still is not likely to be accepted as an AFC submission. Your sources don't show evidence of significant coverage as required by Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Several of the citations appear to be press releases, one is an entry in a list (good for showing PRM's status as a top lender, but not much else). You'll need to find evidence of independent coverage in order for the article to be accepted. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:38, 4 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

@WikiDan61: Thanks for all the articles. I'll keep working on the notability portion to see if I can find more sources like the awards. Thank you for your help. Cdanson (talk) 17:24, 4 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
