{{web-screenshot}} tag

edit

I've noticed you've uploaded some images tagged with {{web-screenshot}}. This tag is not meant to be used for images that came from Web pages; it's meant to be used for images of Web pages (such as Image:Wikipedia.PNG, for example). I've retagged the images below as having no license information. Please edit the image description pages to include information about the licenses these images are under. —Bkell 23:24, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:RagnarokOnline Rachel.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:RagnarokOnline Rachel.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:10, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

United ISD

"(We need to cite the source for "outer portion". UISD serves even in the inner portions of Laredo, and probably more than LISD...)"

I'm not very familiar with the Laredo area, but I am fine with the label "inner" for LISD and "outer" for UISD. See, I looked at a map of the city of Laredo and a map of the two districts (thanks to Google Earth). "Inner" and "outer" are verified from a non-resident standpoint just by looking at the maps. BUT, if you know the area better, take out "fact" and try to replace with with specific boundaries such as roads, etc. WhisperToMe 19:27, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

By the way, United South MS doesn't serve El Cenizo and Rio Bravo anymore; the two cities are served by Salvador Garcia MS. WhisperToMe 22:35, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for helping with United South High School. As you can see in the history, the original author abandoned the article after I removed the copyrighted material. I'm glad that somebody else noticed the article and edited it. =) -- Gogo Dodo 06:10, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Motorola_KRZR_K1m.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Image source problem with Image:USMS logo.jpg

edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:USMS logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:12, 5 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 03:12, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

About those recent edits to the List of students at South Park Elementary...

edit

I'm not sure what you intended to do by those religion additions you made, but I've never seen an episode of South Park in which Bebe Stevens is said to be athiest. Pip isn't really stated to be methodist or Anglican, but I find Anglican to be much more likely, since he's British. And Token being a Southern Baptist? I don't even know what the heck that is. Orphaned non-free media (Image:GameTap Welcome.JPG)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:GameTap Welcome.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. License tagging for File:USHSPanthers2011.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:USHSPanthers2011.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:05, 29 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:USHSPanthers2011.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:USHSPanthers2011.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:26, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:FirefoxWikipedia.JPG

edit

The file File:FirefoxWikipedia.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused, unlinked Wikipedia screenshot. No other obvious use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 09:06, 3 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
