Re Thanks

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, some things I'm as much trying to at least provoke a bit of discussion or debate - just to try to get a bit of life there and at least get people thinking about 'the decline' (for example, though in many ways I'd like FPC to be for images exclusive to Wikipedia, I have in fact nominated several non-Wikipedian images myself, and supported dozens more over the years; I can live with it, but I still think the focus should be on 'our own' stuff). A shame most people are just happy to shrug their shoulders about it.

Perhaps the saddest thing was that most of the responses came from a few old-timers, most of who are now semi-regular at best, so I agree that it won't amount to much. As you say on FPC talk, it's a shame we've lost so many good contributors, often through petty back-biting and politicking. Another one that always stands out for me is the disgraceful and thankless way MER-C was treated after tirelessly closing for nearly two years, which lead to him leaving. I may return there at some stage, but I doubt I'd be on as regular a basis as I used to be, and I'm not overly inspired to spend much time there at the moment. Nice to hear from you. --jjron (talk) 15:20, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Re: Deep Space Homer

No problem, that book source looks fine to me. SNPP is pretty much accurate, but the episode capsules are basically just composite forum posts, so they fail the reliability policy. Although everything would be far, far easier if we could use it. We sort of compromise by having them as an external link. Gran2 23:49, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
