Tamil Nadu assembly by-election, 2009

I have put up the results for the recent by-election. I also coupled the Tirumangalam election that occured in january to this page, since I think it would be easier to couple all the by-election in a year, to one page. So thats the reason I put up the ADMK infobox, even though they boycotted the second election. Let me know what you think, and feel free to make any changes. Infobox

I was having difficult on how to do the years. I think it is more organized, if the by-elections were separated from the state assembly elections, since all 234 seats are at stake as opposed to 4 or 5. The by-elections weren't really campaigned or publicized as much as an state election, until recently, so to me it makes more sense if they were separated. Also in the template box, there is a separation of state assembly and by-election, for an overview of all the elections. But I would like to hear your reasoning on why it makes more sense to combine them?--Harish89 (talk) 17:47, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

I like the idea it is separate in the template, separation here is fine because all the elections are visible on the same page. I just feel chronological order in the infobox will be more convenient to readers. If somebody is not interested in the by-election, they just need to click to the next election. --L I C 17:53, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

That is true, but I think it is important to make a distinction between regular elections and by-elections. Because if we do chronological here, then when we input lok sabha by-elections in tamil nadu we need to do chronological ordering in that page. That wouldn't make sense since there were no general elections taking place during that year. I think if we standardize by-election being separate from regular election, it will be easier when we have to input by-elections in other circumstances.--Harish89 (talk) 18:00, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Also another distinction is that during regular election, we have a change in assembly (First, Second, etc.), while by-election are used to fill vacant seats in current assembly. So if there are only 11 assemblies, and we have more than 11 election years, it will also add to the confusion.--Harish89 (talk) 18:03, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Padmasingh Isaac

Sorry about the lack of reason for deleting Padmasingh Isaac. It seems that I gave no reason, and the nominator User:Protecting did not inform you, as is the best practice. The reason given was "No noteworthy lacking WP:WL" by the nominator. This is not any kind of valid reason, but my reason for deleting was WP:CSD#A7, that there was not a claim of importance. I could find very little web mention of him. If you wish to improve the article to say a bit more about importance of the chairman or his company, please work on User:Like I Care/Padmasingh Isaac which I have restored for you. Chennai

Any reason why the main pic is Chennai central? The pic looks ugly (in my opinion) and is also not the most important or architecturally pleasing landmark of the city. Egmore Station, Fort St. George, Kapaleeswarar temple, Santhome church or a montage with a few pics would definitely be better. Don't you think?
