Speedy deletion of "Roll Wit It" (Marc Mysterio song)

edit

A tag has been placed on "Roll Wit It" (Marc Mysterio song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. One More Time (Daft Punk song)

edit

Regarding your edits to the article, please do not link the same item twice in a section, and please do not restate a full name after its first instance in a section. Please see WP:MOS for further guidelines. just64helpin (talk) 00:32, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please also keep in mind that placing the artist name in the section title is redundant, since only one cover version is noted in the article. just64helpin (talk) 22:29, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Spinnin Records

edit

A tag has been placed on Spinnin Records, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Spinnin Records, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Rnb (talk) 17:42, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Gimme danger (talk) 23:05, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from replacing existing articles with unrelated content. If you feel an article should be removed from Wikipedia, please follow one of the procedures outlined at Wikipedia:Deletion policy. You are still free to create your article at an unused title such as Let Loose (song). Thanks. --Bongwarrior (talk) 23:12, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Marc Mysterio. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. This is especially a problem given that the page is an autobiography, and your edits violate the conflict of interest rules. Do not remove legitimate tags added to the article. THF (talk) 00:09, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Last warning: stop making non-neutral and policy-violative edits on pages related to yourself. Please follow the conflict of interest policy. If there is a controversial edit you want made (and controversial edits include adding material that other edits have deleted) use the {{Request edit}} template on the talk page. THF (talk) 13:58, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

  This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to Chris Willis, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. THF (talk) 14:02, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for Disruptive editing. You are welcome to make useful contributions after the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below.

Wikipedia is not a personal playground. Please pay attention to the notices that people have left you, and try to follow our policies. Your case has been discussed at WP:COIN, where you are welcome to comment after your block expires. EdJohnston (talk) 20:43, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
