SmartCloud

So is SmartCloud just one component of IBM cloud computing? If so we should just split the IBM SmartCloud to its own article. Marcus Qwertyus 15:31, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

SmartCloud is a branded group of products that constitutes a large (and growing) share of IBM's cloud computing offerings. But it's not the whole picture. I think I will give SmartCloud its own section in the article, and I will explain how those products relate to IBM cloud computing as a whole. Thank you for pointing out the distinction. Giving SmartCloud its own section would be a good idea. An IBM SmartCloud article in addition to the IBM cloud computing article would also be nice since it is a distinct service offered by IBM. We can still summarize the SmartCloud service within the IBM cloud computing article. I'm going to go ahead and retitle the current article to IBM cloud computing without the (SmartCloud) since words in brackets are usually reserved for distinguishing articles from the Primary topic (ex: Poison (band) vs. Poison).
