FIFA 08

edit

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article FIFA 08, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:FIFA 08. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. More specifically, I proposed the article for deletion because it is speculative: nothing is known about this game, beyond the fact that we expect it to come out. Orphaned non-free media (Image:SydneyFClogo.gif)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:SydneyFClogo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:54, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Brookvale_Oval.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Nilfanion (talk) 01:48, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

James Kovas

edit

Hello. It is quite bad form to remove a prod from an article without giving a reason (see WP:PROD). Could you explain why you removed it? I don't see any evidence that he has played in a fully professional league (there is nothing saying that the NSWPL is a pro league). If not, please reinstate the prod, as I don't want to have to waste everyone's time with a WP:AfD which will almost certainly result in deletion. Thanks, пﮟოьεԻ 57 11:40, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

CK10 says: He plays in the Second-highest league in Australia, and the top-tier competition of New South Wales. I removed the prod as there is proof of this player's existence in such a quality football league.

On this note, I tried to post an article link about this player, but seeing as the link contains "[", it became broken and the full link was halved. How can I post this link: http://www.footballnsw.com.au/index.php?id=17&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=701&tx_ttnews[backPid]=76&cHash=5ab5d79df9 ?

The fact that he exists and plays in the league is irrelevant. What we need proof of is the fact that the NSWPL is a fully professional league. Please provide proof or reinstate the prod. Thanks, пﮟოьεԻ 57 14:24, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Image:JamesKovas.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on Image:JamesKovas.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement

[www.footballnsw.com.au/index.php?id=17&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=701&tx_ttnews[backPid]=76&cHash=5ab5d79df9]. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:JamesKovas.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. License tagging for Image:Belmore_Sports_Ground.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Belmore_Sports_Ground.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:28, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
