Hi Byronpasha, welcome to Wikipedia!

Thanks a lot for your interest in contributing to Wikipedia articles.

I hope you like it here and decide to stay

In case you ever need anything, feel free to ask me in my talk page by clicking on the button 'new section'.

As for the current reverts happening in unit root, I'd like to please ask your to discuss the matter with me or MrOllie before reverting anything again.

MrOllie raised a correct problem with the article, which was the WP:UNDUE weight given to the Sargan-Barghava test when compared with the other tests.

At least that's what I concluded by giving a look into the academic literature.
(and I believe I serve as a neutral third point of view here, as I'm not involved with the article nor MrOllie).
If you think I'm wrong, and the Sargan-Barghava test is particularly more notable or popular than the other tests, I'm 100% willing to listen to you.

The Wikipedia guidelines say you'll need a WP:SECONDARY source (i.e., a paper that is not authored by neither Sargan nor Barghava) to base that assertion on.
The kind of academic works that state things like "method X is the most popular" are surveys and literature reviews such as

  • Maddala, Gangadharrao S., and Shaowen Wu. "A comparative study of unit root tests with panel data and a new simple test." Oxford Bulletin of Economics and statistics 61.S1 (1999): 631-652.
  • Elliott, Graham, Thomas J. Rothenberg, and James H. Stock. Efficient tests for an autoregressive unit root. No. t0130. National Bureau of Economic Research, 1992.

If accessing any paper is difficult to you, feel free to email me (my user page, left panel) the title of the paper you want, and I'll give it to you (with legal copyright permissions).
