List of programming languages edit

You appear to be having difficulty with your edits at List of programming languages. I'd like to try explaining why some of your edits are not being accepted by other editors. Bolt appears to be the scripting language of one game engine (Unity). Apparently, other editors do not feel that this qualifies as a legitimate programming language. Also, the Unity page barely mentions it. If you disagree, and feel that this language should be included, please discuss the matter at Talk:List of programming languages rather than simply adding the entry over and over. Sorry. My brother actually got a hold of my account and deleted Scratch. He probably did that because he got banned from the website.
And also Bolt has many articles about it. I added Bolt on the Unity page for Wikipedia, and I did ask for some help because I don't have much knowledge of Bolt. I know that it was released by Unity in an attempt to hopefully make coding easier for everyone, kind of like GameMaker's Visual Scripting or Unreal Engine's Blueprints. So by posting this, I'm requesting help by people who know a LOT about Unity. A lot, a lot. BuildersHutGames (talk) 18:26, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
As for your argument that Bolt, like GameMaker's Visual Scripting or Unreal Engine's Blueprints, deserves inclusion at List of programming languages, you'll notice that neither of those other examples are listed either. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:51, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Alright then. BuildersHutGames (talk) 19:02, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

WP:NOTHOWTO edit

Wikipedia is specifically not a howto site. It is not a place to give people tips on how to program. If you want to work on learning materials, Wikiversity may be more in line with what you are trying to do. MrOllie (talk) 00:10, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

However, the "HelloWorld" program example I added wasn't a place that taught people how to code in C#. They weren't tips either. BuildersHutGames (talk) 00:11, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Adding on to my original reply, I don't think the "HelloWorld" program addon was one of the things listed on the "not how to" page you linked. BuildersHutGames (talk) 00:13, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Your Hello World was redundant. The article must not be bloated with repetitive examples. Minor details like how to type the not operator are trivia and not worth writing about. Notes about how to keep a program from exiting are pure HOWTO. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, you should be adding everything that happens to occur to you to the article. MrOllie (talk) 00:19, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Alright. BuildersHutGames (talk) 02:02, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
