April 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Tarl N.. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Bill Ayers, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Tarl N. (discuss) 03:33, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Bill Ayers. Take it to the talk page, do not just go and add labels you like to that article. Tarl N. (discuss) 04:13, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Discretionary sanctions edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

May 2020 edit

This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at Bill Ayers, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Those edit summaries are completely unacceptable. Doug Weller talk 10:05, 15 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

December 2020 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for making personal attacks towards other editors.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Acroterion (talk) 05:11, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I worded a post very specifically to NOT personally attack. I made a concerted decision to be civil. There was a very toxic, flame-baiting, accusatory post left on my page stating that something very innocuous was inappropriate (editing a page to state than an ****FBI CLASSIFIED**** terrorist group and its leader were in fact a terrorist group. I made a post warning that user not to flame my profile any longer, with a warning implying that I would seek to have him removed from his position if he did not do so. I made no personal attack beyond this warning that I would seek disciplinary action for him and I find it striking that **I** am the one receiving this solely due to the fact that my political views are not as extreme as those who make decisions here.

Decline reason:

Your political views are not relevant, but how you conduct yourself here is. Your statement could also be interpreted as a threat that goes beyond Wikipedia. Maybe others will disagree, but I would not unblock you without a topic ban from Bill Ayers if you are unable to discuss it without attacks and inappropriate comments. I don't care what your political views are, your actions are not acceptable in this civil forum. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:37, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

To be exact, your post said:

"I would *highly* recommend not posting lies and propaganda on my talk page again, making unhinged accusations. Further flaming will result in consequences beyond your imagination. Tread very carefully."

Even our software tagged it as a possible violation of our WP:BLP policy. Doug Weller talk 06:11, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

That's okay, I'll just make a new account. Thanks!

Blocked is blocked, you may not evade your block with sockpuppet accounts. Acroterion (talk) 17:21, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
