My information
Brianga,
I dont see what is wrong with putting up information about a new idea that is going to change an industry. American Agent Online was created for the public and a definition of it and how it came about should be allowed. Dont you think? What can be changed to allow it?

More detail required
Hi Brianga,
I am not interested in promoting my business. I simply wish to explain what this web site does.
Having read your references, I am none the wiser. If you can help me reduce the content to something that you consider non-prejudicial, I would be grateful.

Ownership query
Hi Brianga,
Thanks. Do you mean that I, as the creator of the web site, am prohibited from creating an article on Wikipedia about the site?
If so, would it be acceptable to have one of our independent members/contributors create the article instead?
Regards,
Mac —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macmaclaren (talk • contribs) 05:34, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi Brianga,
While I am happy to admit that I have a vested interest in my company, I wanted to make a *neutral* entry in Wikipedia, as I realise that it does not tolerate self-promotion, which is entirely fair.
However, I am a little confused about the "notability" issue. When I submitted the Lemonrock entry in November 2007, I cited the inclusion of our business connection with Archant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archant), but this was not accepted.
Can you explain what the site would have to do or to achieve to become "notable", please? Is there anything that you could suggest to add our site to Wikipedia, without the entry being biased?
Regards,
Mac —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macmaclaren (talk • contribs) 05:52, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Secondary sources
Hi Brianga,
We do provide HTML feeds to several other web sites (such as bands', artists' and venues' own sites) who post their gigs on the Lemonrock gig guide site. However, it seems that we have to "break out" of the web world in order to be notable on Wikipedia! This is a difficult issue! Looking forward to the future, when (perhaps) these "secondary" sources of newspapers and television will not exist separately from "the Web" - what will constitute an "independent" source, I wonder?! I can't answer that any better than you can!
Anyway, thanks for your considered responses tonight. I appreciate your effort.
Lemonrock looks forward to being a valid, and useful, part of Wikipedia, one day, hopefully soon!
Regards,
Mac

Hi Brianga,
I blocked the above user, who you had previously given a final warning, after he continued to create inappropriate pages. I made the block indefinite, but in retrospect, fell that this might be too harsh. Do you think the block should be shortened? If so, would you mind telling me how to do it? Hi there.
The article which I started about Ryan Moss is a legitimate article. He is an icon in the Pacific NW, one of the most accomplished photographers, whose work highlights life in Central America. I didn't mean that wikipedia is commercial. I meant that the image is tagged as cc 2.0, but if you click the link to the original file on flickr, the owner has it tagged as cc 2.0 Noncommercial. Which isn't an acceptable license for Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags/Deprecated#Non-free_Creative_Commons_licenses. Oak Grove Fire Department already had a prod removed
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Oak Grove Fire Department, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Dear Mr. Brianga
You have just reverted the latest posts for Komati and Vasavi. You say final warning. What else do you want me to do when people keep hacking and writing all denegrations about the Komati, Vasavi and other Vysya articles. The user "Yenkata setty (talk • contribs)" pretends to be a Komati but he is vandalizing and writing all sorts of rubbish about this caste. The user with ip address "122......." always hacks the Komati article and Vaishya article to denegrate Komatis. "yenkata setty" is the same guy who writes from "122........" as well. If you think something could be done please let me know. Please understand and research on "122......." and you will more about that guy. You can find his traces in Komati history. He pretends to be Komati but keeps writing all denegrations. Thank you

Well it was unreferenced. But I didn't add it to the article, did I. I thought the talk pages are for talking. Fine, keep the article crappy. I know better now. Dear Brianga, thank you for your message. I did delete the tag at issue once and that was because I had not saved the entry for two seconds before it was tagged. I strongly believe that the responsibility of tagging has been inappropriately left in the hands of some individuals who seem even unable to be polite in their addressing others. Further, it is risible that an entry can be tagged for deletion, hardly two seconds following its creation, for the sole reason that the editor at issue is unable to trace information concerning the entry with the aid of Google. To my best judgement, this is philistinism gone mad. For what purpose would I create an entry, if the subject matter of the entry did not exist? Moreover, I did not join Wikipedia today or yesterday; why would I perpetrate a hoax now? These are questions that these so-called editors should first consider before tagging an entry. Who appoints these know-nothings and do-gooders as editors? This evening I have spent my valuable time simply to respond to issues arising from what amounts to an act of utter immaturity by a so-called editor, tagging an entry without knowing anything about its subject matter. You may bring to the attention of these individuals to learn at least the basics of addressing others before placing them on positions of responsibility. The person wrote to me as though I were his/her mate on the playground. Yours sincerely, --BF 00:34, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Rick.chase.hisxpress.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:26, 24 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sdrtirs (talk) 20:26, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:NokiaTimesSquareExterior.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:NokiaTimesSquareExterior.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [2], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:NokiaTimesSquareExterior.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Polly (Parrot) 23:30, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Connorflanagan.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Connorflanagan.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 17:51, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:PippaBlackElle.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:PippaBlackElle.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:02, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Hopstop Logo.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Hopstop Logo.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:06, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Everything is legit with the Fran Healy image. Have a look. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Frog84 (talk • contribs) 19:30, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- No, it isn't. Please see Wikipedia:Upload/Flickr for more information on permissible flickr images. Brianga (talk) 19:46, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Sorry Brianga. You're right. I assumed that license was ok. I contacted the license holder, and he has chaged it again. Hopefully all ok this time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Frog84 (talk • contribs) 21:26, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- The flickr page [4] is still not a valid license. Brianga (talk) 21:37, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
You're right again. Sorry. There was a mix up. Hopefully all ok this time! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Frog84 (talk • contribs) 22:02, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Britney Spears photo
Where can we get free photos which are the latest pictures of celebrities?WikiArtifact (talk) 13:33, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
- The image has to be completely free - you cannot use a fair use rationale for living people, since a free replacement image is always theoretically possible. See Wikipedia:Non-free_content#UULP for more information. Brianga (talk) 13:56, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Interesting talk page. I am just wondering the next upload by this user and the next speedy deletion message in his/her talk page. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 18:20, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- I blocked the user for removing PROD tags despite a final warning. Brianga (talk) 18:43, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- I have taken various articles to AfD. However, blocking for removal of PRODs was a bad call - those were legitimate. Can you review? Ros0709 (talk) 18:51, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- You are quite right. I mixed up AfD and PROD rules in my head, somehow. Thanks! Brianga (talk) 19:01, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

- Hopefully "Souljaboy" will take notice of his talk page, he doesn't quite grasp the rules we have for image uploads. :-((( JBsupreme (talk) 19:06, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:GB2K05 - Invasion of the Body Squeezers, Part 2.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:GB2K05 - Invasion of the Body Squeezers, Part 2.JPG.
Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:07, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Ashad Ali declined speedy
I declined the speedy deletion for this as playing for a national team asserts notability. Cheers, 20:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
re: Image source problem with Image:285.jpg

An award joke...:P
Are you allowed to view source for an award and change the text in it to make some spoofy thing on your page? Cuz somethin keeps tellin me I can't... Gyroid X —Preceding undated comment was added at 20:15, 17 November 2008 (UTC).
- On your own page, or on my page? I don't see why you couldn't do it on your own page. Doing it on mine would be kind of rude, tho. Brianga (talk) 00:05, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Please block 216.70.27.226
I just undid three vandalism edits by 216.70.27.226, to Ella Baker, Aung San Suu Kyi, and Agnes de Mille. Please block as appropriate for this repeat offender. Dwalls (talk) 17:00, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Hey Brianga, just wanted to point out that the above file didn't qualify for speedy deletion under F1. It was not in the same file format as its replacement. It was supposed to be deleted after seven days as an orphaned fair use image. I certainly don't oppose the deletion, as I'm the one who orphaned it; just wanted to let you know. Fair use rationale for File:GacyFilm.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:GacyFilm.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:49, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Wack Wall Street?
My fix to black wall street is fine, I was correcting vandalism. You obviously have no knowledge of Hip Hop. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.155.30.40 (talk) 19:30, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Wack Wall Street
It speaks for itself, The Game is owner of Black Wall Street, not wack wall street. It's obvious. In theory you're the one vandalising. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.155.30.40 (talk) 19:34, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

NowCommons: File:Shaniwarwada.jpg
File:Shaniwarwada.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Pune fort.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore.
