G'day!

edit

G'day there, Brendo51, and welcome to Wikipedia! Good authors are always welcome on the project, and I hope you like the place and decide to stick around!

Sometimes new editors find it useful to review our "five pillars", all you need to know about editing in "wiki markup", or this detailed tutorial. The stuff we all really need to know is best summed up here: write from a neutral point of view, play nice with others, and don't let the rules get you down. If you have any questions or need any help, my talkpage is always open for business, or you can see Wikipedia:Newcomers help page. Here's a tip to start you off: if you type four tildes (~~~~) at the end of any messages you leave on talkpages (like this one) Wikipedia will automatically insert your name and the current date and time after your message. Cool, eh?

By the way, I'm going to take a punt in the dark and say you're Australian. If so, excellent! Aussies make good Wikipedians (yes, oh yes, we do). You may be interested in Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board, where Australian Wikipedians occasionally meet to try to help coordinate our efforts. Again, welcome to the project, and happy editing! fuddlemark (fuddle me!) 01:56, 11 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've just looked at your sandbox

  • You need to put your references in line, as I described on my talk page, a list at the bottom means we can't tell which ref goes with each fact.
  • Don't use bare urls as refs. If you are not sure how to fix them, I'll run a script once they are formatted as references, each following the fact it supports using <ref>[url description]</ref>
  • The club's own site is not adequate for notability, although you can use it for uncontroversial stuff like their strip

That section seems weird to me. In the UK, we have two national cup competitions. The League Cup is open only to the four top divisions (the professional ones). The FA Cup is open to any club that plays on a permanent ground. Teams that play in the former competition are clearly notable, but virtually any amateur team that owns or rents a ground is notable if the qualifying rounds of the FA Cup are counted, which makes a travesty of our general notability guidelines. I've read the talk page, which I don't find particularly edifying. I suppose the thing to do is nominate it for AFD and see what happens Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:14, 20 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Victorian State League Division 2, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Anderson Park, Centenary Park and Western Suburbs FC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
