If you're still fine with changing your username to adhere to Wikipedia guidelines, you can goto WP:CHU and follow the information there to go about getting your username changed. tutterMouse (talk) 17:55, 27 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
I think your name is borderline and it would probably be best if you changed it, though I doubt anyone is going to block you if you don't. Just my thoughts on the matter. Danger High voltage! 00:20, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have reviewed this case and declined to block this account as the username is not a blatant violation of the policy. If anyone has any further concerns they should file at WP:RFCN. Beeblebrox (talk) 04:01, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you TutterMouse, Danger and Beeblebrox for your comments about my username. There are a few others on the list with a similar username stem. I'd rather leave it but if anyone insists then I'll go ahead and alter it. Bollockster42 (talk) 04:16, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

John Lincoln edit

Philip My apologies for the careless mistakes made when I wrote a bio of your father. I would be very pleased if you would expand it in any way and particularly if you could add a photo or two - it could very easily be improved. Since John's death I have been suprised that there hasn't been an obituary in the SMH and really believe that one should appear as soon as possible - has anyone approached you in this regard? Scott Castlemate (talk) 07:47, 27 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Scott Thank you for writing the bio and replying to my post. No problems about the errors. When I turned up the entry I was just wondering who might have written it. Clearly you've some connection with Newington College. Your other entries would seem to confirm that. I could possibly add a photo if I can work out how. I've not done such editing previously. An obituary has been written and submitted to the SMH. We are just waiting on communication to say when it will appear. Philip Bollockster42 (talk) 12:06, 27 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Scott We've been given the word by SMH that the obituary is to be published this Monday 2/1/2012 as long as someone else isn't given preference suddenly. Philip Bollockster42 (talk) 09:49, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Philip I was pleased to read the SMH obit today and hope that at some stage you might be able to add some pics to the wikipedia bio. I will try and improve the bio based on the SMH material sometime soon. Cheers Scott Castlemate (talk) 11:16, 2 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I see you have tried to upload a pic without success. I have tried to correct it but can't find the the file you created. Sorry I haven't been much help. Castlemate (talk) 01:11, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
The only pictures I have are on my hard drive. They aren't on the Net. The Wikipedia instructions only demonstrate loading publicly available picture files. Bollockster42 (talk) 11:21, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
I think you can load them onto commons if they are your pics and have no copyright restrictions but I have no idea how, so again I'm of no use. Castlemate (talk) 02:57, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
I'll see if I can find the Commons. By the way, what is your interest in my dad? Bollockster42 (talk) 03:12, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
You picked it in one - Newington - but Newington is but one of my interests. Castlemate (talk) 05:16, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
