Hello, Bioturbinator, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Request reason:

Caught by a web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. I use multiple computers to edit and switch between them frequently. I also need to edit my sandbox so that I can complete my class wikipedia article assignment.

Decline reason:

As you have appealed to UTRS system, I am procedurally declining this request. Please wait for a UTRS agent to respond. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:14, 3 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This blocked user is asking that their block be reviewed on the Unblock Ticket Request System:

Bioturbinator, my guess is that you're using a VPN. Most VPN servers are blocked on Wikipedia because they hide your real IP address. IP address logs are only only kept for a limited period of time (30 days, I believe) and they are only available to a small number of trusted users, but they are key tools for fighting abuse on Wikipedia. Wikipedia page feedback

edit

Wiki Feedback from class:

  • Macroorganism impacts on bioturbation: Walruses and how they alter N-Cycling
  • Talk to R. Wheatcroft about bioturbation, different ways to model, terrestrial bioturbation (Gopher impacts on sediment transport).
  • Mathematical models and evolution could be applied to aquatic
  • History of biotubation as a section on its own for Darwin
  • Evolution of bioturbation: as an escape mechanism
  • Can discuss other aspects aside from biogeochemistry
  • Add pictures.
  • Remember to focus on what's important: we can have examples, but we should not make them the focal points of our sections/topics
  • For Fresh water: mosquito larvae (and other repulsive insects) are major bioturbators in FW ecosystems along with some other things.
  • Read Wheatcroft's paper and maybe meet with him to ask to use some diagrams.
  • Bioturbator guilds and functional groups.
  • "Diet of Worms" by Jumars
  • Consider addressing/linking bioirrigation and clarify the differences between bioirrigation and bioturbation: follow Aller definition and the Berner paper.
