Prime Numbers edit

ok, a few comments based on my work in 2007

a) Please do not refer to the distribution of prime numbers as "random". While the exactItalic text placement of the primes may be non-obvious and not "predictable", their distribution is concretely definable and "predictable" by numerics.

b) using my 2007 conjecture (MC), it is very easy to quickly generate 200 digit primes. I can provide the 22-line Pari script code.

c) I continue to appreciate all constructive dialog from many sharp people out there.

d) I have several speculations/claims that fall out from the MC (none mathematically proved):

       1. MC will continue to hold beyond 32-bit number range, and indeed will not fail. Of course this implies GC is true.
       2. MC numerics will produce Goldbach partitions for EVERY odd prime P not adjacent to a A129912 term, in the range 0 to 2P.
This tailors with the work of Robert Potter and his conjecture. A simple example is 37, for which its partition is found within

0 to 60, specifically 60=37+23 or 37-7=30. Another is 83, found within 0-120, specifically 120=83+37 or 83-23=60.

       3. Failure of MC would not bode well for GC (and vice versa)
       4. The MC allows for base composite testing of candidate pairs, allowing for somewhat faster elimination of composites.

A trivial example is 39. The finite evaluations are via 60-39 or (39,21), 39-30 or (39,9), 39-12 or (39,27), 39-6 or (39,33), 39-2 or (39,37). Applying the well-known digit sum test, the first four could be immed rejected with digit sums multiples of 3 for either of the pair. This is more relevant for larger numbers. A hypothetical example would be having to check if 33333333331 is prime and checking it against a last remaining sequence term 66666666664. The difference having to be prime is 33333333333, clearly composite and so 3333333331 is composite.

       5. No discussion about the distribution of prime numbers is complete without reference to the primorials. Both the

numerics and spatial location of primes is driven by same. I don’t pretend to understand the intricacies of RH but know it relates to the same area.

       6. I suspect OEIS A129912 is linked to the location of Twin Primes. The prediction correlation data is on my webpage
       7. It would be hard to imagine a workable, complete primality scheme making use of the MC. However, it provides a

mechanism to efficiently (quickly) target primes of any desired size, having computed only the base primes for the primorial terms.

Your addition to WP:3O edit

Hey. Just wanted to give you a heads up with regards to your addition to 3O. In particular: the statement given should be brief and neutral; when signing, and you should use five tildes (~~~~~) so only the timestamp is shown. Also, you should list the page itself at the beginning of the line. I've gone ahead and edited your addition so it fits the guidelines of the project. Please keep this in mind the next time you request help. Thanks! — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 14:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Blakes on Telegraph edit

A tag has been placed on Blakes on Telegraph requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Yacht club edit

I had just edited the institute's page, prompting some nonsense from the rabble. Your categorization struck me as more of the same, sorry to say. I was briefly into naval architecture, in a Wiki way, as a result of my research into Charles A. Curtze. Curtze and his boss resigned from the Bureau of Ships during the Vietnam War. The boss, William A. Brockett, served as president of Webb after his resignation from the Navy. Curtze died in Erie over Christmas, so I ended up writing Wiki articles about both men and learning a bit about BuShips and Webb along the way.--Pat (talk) 05:49, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Conjecture proof edit

from a recent email from Simon Horvat (who I have never met), I believe a fairly straightfwd proof of my conjecture is now in hand. I defer to Mr Horvat for the time being ....

Unspecified source for Image:UVlayout.pdf edit

Thanks for uploading Image:UVlayout.pdf. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:51, 3 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 08:51, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

SIAA (disambiguation) edit

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article SIAA (disambiguation), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Headworks CCCSD.JPG) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Headworks CCCSD.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:10, 6 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
