Is there any possible way to edit my "User Contributions" history? On September 7, 2010, I modified the page on "foot fetishism." As a college student looking for job prospects after I graduate, I would not like anything online that could disqualify me from a position. Editing a Wikipedia page about a sexual fetish would certainly be considered taboo and grounds for such a move. Please let me know if this aspect of my contributions can be removed. I would be immensely grateful. Thank you.

Hi Biles1234. I'm afraid that User contributions are generated by the software, and in general cannot be edited. There are very few situations where they do change, to do with deletion, but I'm afraid that your situation does not fall into that. However, as to your worries, I do have a few thoughts.

• If you do not provide your potential employer with your wikipedia account name, then I don't see how they will find out it's you.
• If you want to provide them with account name as a positive on your cv, keep editing, and the chances of them going that far back (if they check at all) are slim.
• If the employer is thorough enough to find the edit, they should understand a bit about wikipedia, and will see that you were adding reliable, sourced information to an article, and are not exclusively focused on the area.
• You can always stop using this account for primary editing, start up another account which you could use as your main account for privacy. Be aware though, that this does not condone vandalism on alternative accounts, and they can be traced for legal and wikipedia purposes only (ie not by your potential employer)
