Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, BeyondBasics. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Q Holdings Inc, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Per your use of 'we' and 'us' at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Q Holdings Inc Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 11:41, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

There is no conflict of interest as per say or any monetary benefits. The article is being fixed and will be soon as per the criteria of Wikipedia. For the usage of "we" and "us", i shall be more careful. I just need a bit more time and the page shall be fixed. BeyondBasics (talk) 11:56, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

I would live to clarify my situation here. I believe i have been misunderstood. I was not involved in self advertisement or undisclosed paid promotion. I was simply trying to setup a Wikipedia page so i could structure and streamline the data for the company. I made a few mistakes and when i was notified of it, i immediately started rectifying it. Not a second was wasted and i started adding links. For a human, i took the least amount of time to add them and i was going to add more. My mistake was using the term "We". I was not aware about how i should be referring myself and used "we" to describe myself. It was only due to the Pseudonym. I can guarantee that it will not happen in the future and all the warnings will be looked into and the guidelines will be followed. I am not trying to break the rules but instead trying to fix my mistakes so please unban my account and i shall fix every single mistake of mine.

Decline reason:

This is one of the more bizarre unblock requests I've ever reviewed. Of course you engaged in undisclosed paid promotion. You are directly tied to Q Holdings. We know this because you admitted it at File:Q-holdings(993).jpg where you pointed out you personally created the logo and you personally own the copyright to it. The block has nothing to do with links or with wasting time. I wonder if this unblock request was written by ChatGPT or similar software because it's hard to believe a person would write such a bizarre and rambling request. If it wasn't, I'd strongly suggest WP:CIR also applies. Yamla (talk) 12:43, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
