Re: Reverting DLDD socks

edit

Hey there. I'm sure you mean well in reverting the edits of banned editors (if it's true that DLDD falls in that category rather than another), but please bear in mind that you are not required to do so but only permitted. Some of the material you've been restoring has been very poorly sourced. Also relatedly, is this your first account? It's very unusual to begin editing Wikipedia and immediately jump to enforcing bans. –Roscelese (talkcontribs) 05:37, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

If those edits were useful, other, non-banned editors are welcome to restore them. The policy is clear that we do not allow socks to make "good" edits. I have previously edited as an unregistered user. Beta Jones Mercury (talk) 14:49, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Please read the policy you're citing again. Sock edits can be reverted; it is not the case that they must be reverted. –Roscelese (talkcontribs) 14:57, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
You are wrong, but I don't feel like arguing the minutia here. Since you concede that, at a minimum, such edits can be removed, I will just go on and remove them. If you feel strongly about any of them, you can reinstate them and take responsibility for them , keeping in mind this policy: WP:PROXYING Beta Jones Mercury (talk) 03:49, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
