Besim Tibuk moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Besim Tibuk, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~StyyxTalk? 19:42, 6 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please don't do this. edit

In particular, this [1]. The editor is not banned and you are not familiar enough with policy and procedure to be tagging another editor's page. Basically, your actions are disruptive, so please let others worry about tagging pages. Had I wanted the page modified, I would have done so when I blocked him. Dennis Brown - 23:50, 11 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Dennis Brown I am not sure (it might be at Turkish Wikipedia aswell) but, User:Visnelma was also doing the same. So I thought it's an okay thing, thanks for informing me. BerkBerk68talk 23:59, 11 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I have no control over what someone does on other language 'pedias, but the main point is, he isn't banned. He is only blocked. The English wikipedia has very different rules about what is and isn't allowed, best to just walk on by or ask an admin if you aren't 100% sure about something like that. Dennis Brown - 00:15, 12 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Dennis Brown Okay, I got the situation. I will try to be more cautious and attentive. Thanks. BerkBerk68talk 00:41, 12 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Copy & Pasting edit

Just so you know, what you added to Turkic history[2] has been directly copied from the journal you cited on page 199. You can not copy information word-for-word, that is a violation of Wikipedia rules. You have to paraphrase it. Kansas Bear (talk) 01:05, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

July 2022 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, you may be blocked from editing. HistoryofIran (talk) 18:34, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I won't stop contributing Wikipedia's development. My edits are not violated, you have reverted a consensus edit at the Pan-Turkism page without explaining your reasons at talk page. I highly recommend you to read WP:CON. BerkBerk68talk 20:06, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Pretty ironic that you are telling me to read WP:CON when you are not even following it. Feel free to read it after you’ve finally read WP:POV. HistoryofIran (talk)

August 2022 edit

Hey, how are you? I have recently discovered that the history of the Mughal dynasty and the polity they ruled was within the scope of your interests. I invite you to have your say on the Persian influence section at the talk page where you have lately discussed the removal of your additions that dealt with the Chagatai origin of Mughals. Moreover, I do agree with your WP:JDL belief, and firmly think that this sort of attitude by particular users needs to come to an end as they harm Wikipedia's working environment. Thank you! VisioncurveTimendi causa est nescire 13:29, 4 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello dear @Visioncurve, thank you for your interest on my opinion. Persian influence at the Mughal Empire is irrefutable and worth being represented at the article, as well as the Chagatai Turkic origins/influence. I believe that objective editors who want to contribute on the encyclopedia would support representation of both sides, therefore reflect civilizations as how they are.

Kishtwari edit

Hello sir I'm here to talk about kishtwari , why you removed my claims? Everyone knows kishtwari is tonal and it's a language on its own 122.161.240.70 (talk) 05:02, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, some of your additions on the Kishtwari does not fit WP:NPOV, also your edit on the status is a significant change that should be well referred and/or discussed on the article's talk page. BerkBerk68 10:51, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Azerbaijani language edit

Historically the language was referred by its native speakers as Türki[6] meaning either "Turkish" or "Turkic". Prior to the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, which adopted the name of "Azerbaijan" for political reasons in 1918, the name of "Azerbaijan" was exclusively used to identify the adjacent region of contemporary northwestern Iran.[7][8][9] After the establishment of the Azerbaijan SSR,[10] on the order of Soviet leader Stalin, the "name of the formal language" of the Azerbaijan SSR was changed from "Turkish" to "Azerbaijani".[10] Kergid (talk) 12:29, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Kergid, Azerbaijanis are already known by their Turkness, nobody is disagreeing with it. Currently the language itself is known by the name "Azerbaijani", so that's how we represent it at Wikipedia. It also can be referred as Azeri Turkish, but obviously not "Turkish" alone. Calling Azerbaijani language "Turkish" would mislead readers, they might think that it is the Turkic language spoken in Anatolia. BerkBerk68 12:39, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

We are discussing this issue with Louis Aragon on the page of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, it would be great if you join us. Kergid (talk) 12:41, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Are you interested in improving articles about Turkey which are not history? edit

Hello @BerkBerk68,

By chance I happened to notice that you and a few other editors are involved in some controversy re articles about Turkish history. I don't want to get involved with that but as you guys seem to be interested in improving the image of Turkey (or Türkiye of course) amongst English speakers I wonder if any of you are interested in helping me improve some articles about Turkey which are not controversial?

Maybe you noticed I have been going through some articles related to energy and climate change in Turkey trying to bring them up to "good" standard and I hope to continue. For example once I have done the ones I am working on now I hope later to improve Agriculture in Turkey - but as that likely won't be for a while I wonder if any of you might have time to expand that article a bit?

Saygılar
