Image tagging for Image:Onama1.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Onama1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

License tagging for Image:Kup07-kzs-654.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Kup07-kzs-654.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:11, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Grb-mladostl.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Grb-mladostl.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use disputed for Image:Grb-vlasina.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Grb-vlasina.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:23, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Lav Kup.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Lav Kup.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. File permission problem with File:Derventan.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Derventan.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 21:38, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cyrillic edit

I have opened a discussion here in order to archive consensus and I have been inviting participants of that Cyrillic-dispute to provde their opinion there. Best regards, FkpCascais (talk) 07:55, 18 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Recommendation edit

Please Beli Orlov, as a wiki-editor you are supposed to partake in discussions with other users and form the basis for compromise. Wikipedia is not your way or the highway. No one objects to the Cyrillic script but Serbian is not the only official language in the RS, and the Cyrillic script is not only used by Serbian. By writing Serbian Cyrillic in every article you convey the false message that Serbian is the only official language which is unacceptable. You have already been invited to participate in a discussion but you seem to have turned it down and instead headed out on a path of uncompromising edit warring. If you continue ignoring other users' invitations for discussion and continue forcing through your edits by edit warring you are making yourself guilty of vandalism. It is my duty to warn you of this so that you may rectify your behavior before a report is filed against you. A potential block will effectively also affect any new accounts you may create to circumvent it. Praxis Icosahedron ϡ (TALK) 22:05, 20 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand why you have so much animosity towards Serbs in Bosnia being able to use their language. They are legally allowed to and it is an official language of the country. Denying them of that is immoral. I have never went to a town where the majority was Bosniak or Croat and tried to edit the page and change their language to say 'Serbian'. Bosniaks in 'Zenica' for example have a right to say that they speak Bosnian and I would never go on that page and try and tell them otherwise. You however are trying to remove any reference to anything Serbian even when it is clearly the dominant language in the region or town, and yet you claim to be neutral. Furthermore, even if the town of Bijeljina is written in Bosnian with the Cyrillic alphabet used then it is from the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet. So whether the town is written in Bosnian or Serbian and it is written in Cyrillic it is using the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet. The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet is the standard Cyrillic alphabet for both Bosnian and Serbian. You seem to be the only person that I've stumbled across that has a problem with this and I don't understand why this bothers you so much. Please read the Bosnian language/Serbian Cyrillic alphabet articles to better understand.

Thank you for replying, but I am afraid you operate on false assumptions. There are no "Bosniak", "Croat" or "Serb" towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the constitution clearly states that Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats are all constituent nations on every square inch of Bosnia and Herzegovina regardless of entity. So every town is Bosniak, Serb and Croat collectively. I also think you're abusing the word immoral when you so gladly point out the Serb majority in towns in RS which actually had a Bosniak majority just some 21 years ago. We all know the background to why Bosniaks no longer make up the majority there, and it is of highly immoral reasons. Regardless of what, demographics are irrelevant when it comes to what the Bosnian constitution has to say. Yes Bosnian uses the Cyrillic script officially, but refers to it only as "Cyrillic" and not "Serbian Cyrillic", in similarity with SFR Yugoslavia who also only referred to the script as Cyrillic. No one is denying the Serbs or the Serbian language their official status in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but stop for a second and think about the impression a reader receives when for example reading the article on Bijeljina and only seeing Serbian Cyrillic? The impression is that Serbian is the only official language in the region, which is false. That is why we cannot have such an emphasis on Serbian without somehow also mentioning Bosnian and Croatian as well. For Bijlejina is not a Serb town, but also Bosniak and Croat, like the rest of Bosnia and Herzegovina - such is the constitution. That is why the current "Serbianization" is unacceptable. Praxis Icosahedron ϡ (TALK) 22:47, 20 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I think I understand your stance now, you are upset at events that took place over two decades ago and that has caused you to have these discriminatory views. The word Serbian bothers you and any sense of recognition would be some sort of Anti-Bosnian action. Instead of building toward a future and recognizing each other you prefer to hide and/or distort facts along ethnic lines. Again let's please try and reason here. Standard Croatian does not have a Cyrillic alphabet so that is why it is not mentioned. Bosnian and Serbian use the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet. Saying Serbian Cyrillic just means that the alphabet being used to spell that word is from that alphabet. It can bother you, upset you, offend you even but it is fact. Standard Serbian and Bosnian use Serbian Cyrillic and trying to mask that is immoral because you are hiding the truth from people just because of your animosity or prejudice against Serbs. I am simply emphasizing the truth!

Well, safe to say, your interpretation of my reply is highly subjective. Wikipedia is meant to accurately convey information, and while Serbian may be the majority language in Bijeljina it is not the only official one. Unilaterally recognizing Serbian is indeed an anti-constitutional action, what else? Because of these connotations a majority of editors agree on [ [Serbian Cyrillic| Cyrillic] ] in the ongoing discussion. Either we give the whole truth or avoid discussing it altogether. As part of the wikipedia community you are expected to abide by the consensus. Alternatively, I have created name sections dealing specifically with the matter, I'm sure you've seen it already. Praxis Icosahedron ϡ (TALK) 19:01, 21 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

@Beli Orlov, instead of engaging in particular dialogue and edit-warring, it is way more productive to partcipate in a discussion that I pointed to you in my previous thread here. Most editors that are involved are discussing the issue there, including Praxis Icosahedron. He already expressed his view there, so should you, because otherwise you can be seen as acting unilaterally and not wnting to engage in consensus building.
