Bot-created articles edit

Hello Belanov87! Are you creating all these stubs using a bot? Note that running a bot without approval is not allowed (see WP:BOTS). Mass creating these automated microstubs gets somewhat disruptive. Best, MarioGom (talk) 23:07, 4 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

@MarioGom: Hi MarioGom, I creating localities stubs by my hands, it is not automated and I don't use any bots. Do I need any approval for doing this by my hands, is it disruptive? Belanov87 (talk) 11:50, 5 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ok. I'm sorry if I misinterpreted this. The stubs structure and pace appeared as auto-generated by some semi-automated tool. This kind of thing would need bot approval. But it might not be your case. You might want to seek advice on WikiProjects, like Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spain, about the structure of these stubs. Best, MarioGom (talk) 08:25, 10 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • It is worth noting that even hand-created articles are covered by bot-policy if they are created in a bot-like fashion (see WP:MEATBOT). FOARP (talk) 15:47, 3 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled granted edit

Hi Belanov87, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Schwede66 00:09, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

There's a discussion about this and as you've been pinged, you will have seen it. Based on what was discussed, I shall remove autopatrolled for now. Feel free to join that discussion; happy to hear your view on the matter. Schwede66 03:28, 4 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Spanish location stubs edit

Hi Belanov87. I see from WP:NPP that you've recently been creating a large number of articles related to Spanish locations based solely on the INE database and 2ua.org/, which appears to be a Google maps-like database. Taking Otano (Navarra) as an example, the INE database calls this a "population unit" (Unidad Poblacional), which appears to be a census-taking unit (which are outside of WP:GEOLAND#1), and anyway provides no significant coverage of the subject. As 2ua.org is only a map it cannot substantiate notability of the topic per WP:NGEO. I am therefore not sure that this location is notable under our guidelines. Is it possible to show how it does meet our guidelines for notability? FOARP (talk) 16:01, 3 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
