$0th day /America held hostage

edit

I was prowling to see if you had any new userboxes, and came across th US hostage on. Could you enlighten me, as I might want to add it to my user page ?Die4Dixie (talk) 03:26, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's to count how many days the USA has been held hostage, with the start date being January 20, 2009.--Gen. Bedford his Forest 11:09, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Held hostage...since the end of a legitimate Presidential election? Eh? Skinny87 (talk) 12:40, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Any election where someone mentally challenged like Obama gets elected can't be that legitimate.--Gen. Bedford his Forest 15:26, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Cmon man. I'm trying to not create any problems here, and I'm not gonna revert that last one - but you know you're walking that fine line here. I wash my hands of any industrial-grade dramafests that occur because of this... Tan | 39 17:22, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeesh, I didn't realize I'd get such a reaction - I just thought it was another 'Zomg Democrat' userbox. Maybe you should refactor that second comment as well, Bradford? Skinny87 (talk) 17:33, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wickland

edit

I notice you often write articles on place on the National Register of Historic Places. I was beefing up Charles A. Wickliffe, and ran across mention of his residence, "Wickland", which is called the "home of three governors." Seems like a DYK just waiting to happen, but I'm not familiar enough with resources related to the NRHP to get it past a stub. (This is all I've found so far.) Interested in creating this article? If so, please just link it to the Wickliffe article when you're done. Thanks. Acdixon (talk contribs count) 13:01, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've been meaning to knock off all the Bardstown NRHP left, but I want to take pictures first. If I get some decent weather soon, I'll do it soon. I know where to find better info.--Gen. Bedford his Forest 15:46, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
For future reference, where is the better info? As I'm currently making another run at improving Kentucky governor articles, it stands to reason that Wickland won't be the only interesting residence I run across. Plus, I may be able to do some articles on NRHP outside the Golden Triangle. Many hands make light work. Acdixon (talk contribs count) 15:54, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Because of how many members of WP:NRHP have sinned against me, I don't want to place the info on Wikipedia. I emailed you the link.--Gen. Bedford his Forest 16:43, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

ANI postings

edit

Bedford, you have been engaging in a series of ad hominem at ANI and elsewhere as of late, evidenced by this and this. The commentary was removed because it was clearly off-topic and completely unrelated to the topic at-hand, and was very pointy, in light of your desysoping and for your prior interactions with Sceptre (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log). You are advised not to continue to post these unhelpful commentary; if you feel that this comment should be re-instated, please seek an approperiate venue for discussion. seicer | talk | contribs 05:42, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why did Seicer cite the same diff twice, as if they were two separate instances of WP:NPA? — Writegeist (talk) 08:15, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Even the Germans and the British fighting in the trenches called a truce for Christmas. Leave our grudges be, if only for today. It's only common decency. Sceptre (talk) 14:00, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
You don't know what decency means. Plus, check out Battle of Trenton.--Gen. Bedford his Forest 15:29, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
And here's me thinking that you were a decent human being. Well, I'm not making a mistake like that again. Sceptre (talk) 15:41, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see Seicer snuck in and changed one of the cites. Just a fumble then. Merry Christmas all. Play nice now, Sceptre, and mind you don't spill your milk. — Writegeist (talk) 18:35, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

War of Northern Agression

edit

[1]. Here it appears that wikipedia claims that prisoner exchange was stopped as a direct result of some massacre. My understanding is it was to prevent Confederate soldiers from rejoining the battle, a form of attriution as the north could continue to put men in the field without the return of their prisoners. ( in fact, I understand that the north's refusal to continue prisoner swaps is the direct cause of the conditions at Andersonville which that poor sod was scapegoated with and for which he wasjudicially murdered. I am I wrong in my understanding? or is this the new revisionist history?Die4Dixie (talk) 14:52, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Clark State Forest 2

edit

I thought of something. There was some sort of a gruesome murder of a kid about 15 on the firetower in the Clark State Forest back about 1973. It was a real big sensation at the time because it was so horendous how the kid was killed. I am trying to google some stuff on it, but that might make a useful addition to the article. Charles Edward (Talk) 01:50, 29 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

A little more is coming back to me.. It was a string of murders, and i think there was at least three different bodies found in the park, maybe starting as early as the 1960s. Charles Edward (Talk) 01:53, 29 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on War of Northern Aggression. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. If you actually read RCAT, you'll see that none of the categories are applicable (and in fact, the naming article is applicable, as the phrase is a subcategory of that page. By continually reverting this you are either simply being malicious and trying to start an edit war or you really don't understand the purpose of redirects.
