Hi I believe that your previous account was User:Pyule which suggests that you are the author of the sources that you are adding. This is known as WP:REFSPAM or WP:SELFPUBLISH and this should not be done. the sources have to come from a reliable source If you have no other sources please remove your own work from this article. Dom from Paris (talk) 17:29, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

You mean I may not cite scientific articles in refereed journals of which I myself am the author? With which reasoning? This is hardly credible. This is destructive. You means I am not allowed to cige my own work? Bad news for most Wiki authors. Azd0815 (talk) 17:38, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

You are clearly using Wikipedia as a promotional tool for your work. Please let others cite you if they consider your sources relevant. Please read WP:REFSPAM it is most definately a no-no. Dom from Paris (talk) 17:41, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
That's not what the policy says. You can quote and use your own articles, provided they are considered WP:RS. Just sayin ... 7&6=thirteen () 18:53, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Since you are clearly being obstructive and are misusing Wiki, I am turning the matter over to Wikipedia. I have a pretty good guess about your identity. Azd0815 (talk) 18:56, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Do not report good faith edits as vandalism and see WP:OUTING. --NeilN talk to me 19:10, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

February 2018 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, as you did at Lizq, you may be blocked from editing. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 17:56, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

I have blocked this account indefinitely, as contribution history shows battleground attitude, threats of outing, blatant false accusation of "vandalism", and several instances of self-promotion. This isn't what Wikipedia is about. To appeal this block, please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks. Thank you. Alex Shih (talk) 20:06, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Alex Shih Alone today I have had 14 or 15 different attacks today regarding the archaeology of Oman from someone who calls himself Dom from Paris via wikipedia and my email. I understand you have accepted this sudden development and have blocked me, a loyal and contributor since about 2006. I ask that this vandalism stop. I ask that you revert your block. I am a thorough writer and use reliable sources in my work. My writings are certainly informed but are fair. I am being mobbed in a professional association and suspect a connection with new attacks in Wikipedia. I hope for an answer from you and corresponding action. Azd0815 (talk) 20:23, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Okay, based on your explanation I have unblocked this account. If you are being harassed privately and would like to report materials containing personal information, you might want to consider sending an e-mail to functionaries-en lists.wikimedia.org. In the meanwhile, I'd like to ask you to follow the advice from NeilN above. Thanks. Alex Shih (talk) 20:32, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I do not understand your expression, "materials containing personal information". What about today's sudden spurious harrassments for example at the beginning of the Wiki page Paul A. Yule? How does this make me an aggessor? 15 attacks in one day: Does that not seem strange to you? What to do?Azd0815 (talk) 21:21, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

What Alex Shih means is that you can't post evidence of harassment that contains personal information on Wikipedia per our outing policy. You have to email it to the functionaries. --NeilN talk to me 14:36, 7 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

I have tried to fix things with wikipedia sites which include al-nejd, Oman and Lizq. I find the criticisms unjust, and suspect a certain colleague who otherwise harrasses me for some years now to be at the base. When can the review warnings/caveats on the Wikipedia articles be lifted, if the problems have been solved?Azd0815 (talk) 13:01, 8 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi edit

I'm Doug Weller. I'm an experienced editor here, Administrator, and wear various other hats. I've always had a keen interest in archaeology and at one point even ran a Young Archaeologists club in the UK. If there still are any labels you'd like to discuss with me I'll take a look at them. Feel free to delete any posts on your talk page (there is some stuff you can't delete but I don't think those circumstances are likely to occur). Anyway, feel free to contact me on my talk page or by email if I can help in any way. Have you seen WP:WikiProject Archaeology? Doug Weller talk 19:04, 8 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

No, I have not seen the WikiProject Archaeology. I'll take a look. I was unaware of wrong-doing in my editing and writing, and have broken a rule. Sorry Azd0815 (talk) 12:13, 9 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I don't think you've done anything wrong at all. The attempts to delete some of your articles last month were misguided, but fortunately we were able to save them. I hope it hasn't put you off editing. Do take a look at WikiProject Archaeology – we're a small group, but if something is posted to our talk page the response is usually quick. – Joe (talk) 13:57, 9 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Many thanks! Hope to get involved when I get a bit more time.Azd0815 (talk) 12:33, 24 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Dear Doug, Please consider adding the following major key source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zafar,_Yemen#Sources to this list of sources. Kind regards, Azd0815

Disambiguation link notification for October 10 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jebel al-Salayli, archaeological site, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Paul Yule. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
