Speedy deletion nomination of Farzad Golpayegani

edit

Hello Arssalannr,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Farzad Golpayegani for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Editing with a conflict of interest

  Hello, Arssalannr. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.--SamHolt6 (talk) 16:13, 23 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Farzad Golpayegani

edit

Hi and welcome! I'm replying here about the article Farzad Golpayegani as it is probably going to be deleted. Basically, you cannot use any text you find on the internet unless it is specifically released under a free license. Here at Wikipedia we basically give everything away for free, for anyone to use for any reason. Because of this, we have to make sure that all text is free to use; we don't have the right to give away someone else's words, even if you are a friend of his.

It is possible for the copyright owner to release that web site content under a free license (which would allow anyone to re-use it, not just Wikipedia). To do that, the copyright owner needs to follow the instructions at WP:DCM.

Alternately, you can re-write the page in your own words. You can use internet pages as a source for the ideas but not the actual words. Think of it like you're explaining it to a friend over lunch, without any web site to read from.

Also, since you said you'd need a few weeks, the best thing to do is re-start the page in Draft space, which is a special section for works that are in progress. Pages there are less likely to be deleted while they're being worked on. To do this, just edit this link: Draft:Farzad Golpayegani.

Feel free to ask me any questions, about this or anything at all. Thanks, and again, welcome! CrowCaw 16:19, 23 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
