Delete tag

edit

A tag has been placed on Herona marathus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hello

edit

Hi, I've done up Herona marathus. If you create a stub, you need to provide a taxobox, an opening sentance that provides context, and a stub tag. Any other information or image is unnecessary at this stage and makes sense only after you have done this. If the things I listed are not provided, you are likely to have your article speedily deleted as was done in this case. Please feel free to approach for any help. License tagging for Image:Lanelater.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Lanelater.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Use of Taxobox

edit

Good going Amol with Click Beetles. Use Taxobox on family, genus and species pages. Refer Agrypnus for example. Keep it up. Vijay Barve 04:49, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Amol have a look at these taxoboxes -
Your beetle articles fall under the jurisdiction of Wikipedia:WikiProject Arthropods and eventually Wikipedia:WikiProject Tree of Life and hence their guidelines - also apply.
Its really great to find an Indian non-ZSI coleopterist. I shall be glad to help you. Post a message on my talk page if you need help. Regards, AshLin 16:08, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

NowCommons: File:Niggers WIKI.jpg

edit

File:Niggers WIKI.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Niggers WIKI.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Niggers WIKI.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 16:42, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect List of click beetles of Maharashtra. Since you had some involvement with the List of click beetles of Maharashtra redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so.
