Regarding your edits to Columbus Municipal School District

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your edits to Columbus Municipal School District. However, a list of district employees is not appropriate for the article per Wikipedia's guideline for school articles. Wikipedia articles are not a directory service for the district and such lists should be avoided. Please feel free to add other content to the article per the guideline for school articles. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:56, 21 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gogo Dodo, the reason I included the names of district employees, is because the school district's website does not have an accurate listing of every district employee, so could it slide this one time?

Re your message: No, it would not be appropriate to include the listing. As I noted, Wikipedia articles are not replacements for employee directories. If the district chooses to not publish a directory, then it is not the job of the Wikipedia article to provide one. Please see the specific section on the school article guidelines: Any mention of living people must conform with the biography of living persons policy, including the presumption in favour of privacy. While naming the head teacher or principal is permitted, lists or detailed information about current or former pupils, parents of current or former pupils, administrative staff, school secretaries, teachers etc. is usually inappropriate. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:05, 21 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gogo Dodo, would it be appropriate to list the principals and security guards for the district? That would equal up to only 16 employees?

Principals for individual schools can be included, but security guards would be inappropriate. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:48, 21 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gogo Dodo, one final question, I think that three people should be listed, as well: the superintendent, and the two assistant superintendents, because that makes sense. That would be the only district personnel listed, along with the nine principals.

Those three inclusions would be fine. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:05, 22 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
