Wikipedia and copyright edit
Sorry to have to remove your additions. I can see you put a lot of work into it. There's several of problems. Some of the book descriptions were copied from publisher's websites. You can't do that, because the material is copyright. Such descriptions cannot be copied from other sources, including official sources, unless these can be verified to be public domain or licensed compatibly with Wikipedia. They must be written in original language to comply with Wikipedia's copyright policy. Some of the material appears to have been copied from your own website/blog. You can't do that either unless you release the material under a compatible license. Wikipedia has procedures in place for this purpose. Please see WP:Donating copyrighted materials for an explanation of how to do it. There's a sample permission email at WP:Consent. There was a third problem as well: giving your opinions of some of the title, for example saying "Brilliant book". It's not the kind of content you'd find in a paper encylopedia, and we don't want it here either. And lastly, we don't include Amazon links. It's inappropriate to do so, and goes against our content guideline for external links. Hi Diannaa Yes your right the edits to the page were laborious and took hours. The reason why you have reformated the page into one table amazes me, in order to make this article /page useful to readers they need to be able to select by readers age. Of course, the people most likely to use this page will be parents of D/deaf children and their relatives who don't want to spend hours of their time, searching the web for books which are not available (as many are printed in short print runs by small publishers and most of the original list was out of print as they were printed in the 80's and as they often have very limited reviews online, its hard to tell if this is suitable for toddlers or what age? I have spent many many hours attempting to find representative books for my Daughter as she is deaf and I want to improve the availability of resources. I have to say that I if I want to donate content then that's my choice but I should go through the proper channels to do so but I am totally utterly mystified to the reasoning behind removing the date of publication as you probably are not aware that 'sleep tight teddy' in the earlier version does not contain a deaf character and the most recent edition does. I hope that you will consider reinstating the changes without delay which would be a time efficient way for me to remove 'publishers descriptions' or any subjective comment on the quality of the book!EverydayBSL (talk) 16:21, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

It's okay to add new books to the list.- It's okay to organize the list differently into separate lists for different age groups.
It's not okay to copy book descriptions from elsewhere online or from publishers' websites or from Amazon. That material is copyright, and we're not allowed to publish it here without evidence of permission. That includes material from https://everydaybsl.wordpress.com. If that's your website and you wish to release it under a compatible license, we have procedures in place for that purpose. Please see WP:Donating copyright materials to find out how it's done.- It's not okay to add links to Amazon for the books on the list. That's not allowed under our external links guideline. External links are provided if they contain further information on a topic, not for information on where a reader can buy a book. See WP:ELNO, point #5: "web pages that primarily exist to sell products" are not permitted.

Hi Diannaa, I am losing the will with this idea, which should have been a quick helpful input to the wider deaf/hard of hearing community but the interface of wikipedia is so userfriendly. I have not able to view my previous unsatisfactory efforts.. I can't even seem to view any changes to the article on the edit history page. I think the entire deletion of all my edits was heavy-handed over a few quick copy and pastes of just a few book descriptions (all in italics, or in the board book section,) seeing as you deleted everything that I contributed are you able to reinstate the article to how I left it then delete any book summaries that you feel present a copyright issues or neutrality or even the whole collum then the barebones of the article will still be intact which would give me something to work off, and would mean you would be satisfied there were no copyright issues. Having read on the user guide that pretty much all previous versions are viewable either I'm not doing something thing right or that not20:20, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Ano34 (talk) true for delated items... Having done that then I could remove amazon links if you didn't want to spend time doing that and the wider public could benefit from this resource.

- I've stripped out the descriptions from almost all of the entries and placed the result in your sandbox (User:Ano34/sandbox). Please strip out the Amazon links. I found and cleaned some additional copyright violations (added by other people) in the live version of the article, but any remaining descriptions there are okay to use as they are either not copied or were re-written by myself. If you have any issues with the table getting broken and can't find the error, please let me know, as I can usually figure out what went wrong. Both accounts are now unblocked. Hi there, Thank You very much for copying and pasting my previous work into my sandbox. I wondered if you could copy and paste the vast majority of the article across onto the Wikipedia page, as I now have run out of steam with this and would like to get what I have done out there to benefit people looking for books that show Deaf characters. The chapter books section is definitely not finished as there are many other books which could be added but I think for now the best thing would be to get it out there and maybe someone else will get round to finishing the job off. I have tried to obey any copyright /tone issues; if there anything you needs changing before you copy it across could you change it please, so we get it into the public domain.
