Your section is very well written and concise. My only suggestion is in your The Communist Effect section, you address two tale titles differently. You use both an italicized title and quotation marks: Anatoliy Mityaev's Grishka and the Astronaut[italicized]. Past tales such as Alexander Afanasyev's "The Midnight Dance".
