Checkuser on AdilBaguirov edit

Sorry, I corrected the code, it should have been B, an evasion of a ban by arbcom. Francis had used the wrong code. Its an evasion of a ban, as AdilBaguirov has done before. Speedy Deletion of Titans (Webcomic) edit

For crying out load, man. The reason why it hasn't got much on it is because I just created it. I wanted to get the damn page up before adding more stuff to it. Don't get your knickers in a twist just because a page isn't created perfectly immediately. Don't get your knickers in a twist and select every new page for speedy deletion. In fact, I'm going to go cliché and say you're the cancer that is killing Wikipedia. There, I said it. Give me a day or two before being a dick. And don't moan that I'm insulting you, since your behaviour simply called for it. --D'Argent 17:18, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your RfA edit

Hi, I see your undergoing an RfA. I really wish you the best of luck, I know that an RfA can be a harsh process, and if you need anything, feel free to ask. Cheers, Dfrg.msc 07:10, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

You commented that there was a discussion, I looked at all the talk pages for each article suggested to be merged into the by age one, there was no active discussion at the time I put it up for deletion. Kwsn(Ni!) 18:47, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Kwsn, I meant the discussion at talk:List of United States Presidents by age. You're right in that when you nominated there had not been much discussion in a couple of weeks. But I didn't think of that as a very long time, especially when it takes a lot of work to troubleshoot those sortable tables. And really, I'm not sure why you took it to AfD without at least first mentioning it on the talk pages to see if anyone was paying attention, but no big deal... looks like it will all get fixed either way. Cheers! --JayHenry 21:17, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your RfA edit

I usually just reply to comments on my own talk page there, but I wanted to be sure you got this one so I'm putting it here instead.

I really hope my comments on your request didn't seem overly harsh or critical, and certainly hope that my opinion and the others expressed in opposition to your request don't discourage you. I've seen many of your contributions to the project and they are by and large of high quality. I value you as an editor. It won't take a lot of development on your part to get me to change my mind, so I do hope to see more of your contributions and hope to see your name in RfA again in the near future. Keep up the good work and I'm sure next time my !vote will be going in the support column. Arkyan • (talk) 17:56, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

AFC Backlog Drive! edit

WikiProject Articles for creation Backlog Elimination Drive

WikiProject AFC is holding a one month long assessment drive!
The goal of this drive is to eliminate the backlog of unreviewed articles. The drive is running from July 15, 2007 – August 15, 2007.

Awards to be won range from delicacies such as the WikiCookie to barnstars.
There is a backlog of more than one year, so start reviewing articles! Visit the drive's page and help out!

This drive was organized by GrooveDog in an attempt to terminate that nasty backlog.

your question edit

Sorry, but I forgot what it was. Maybe AFD, maybe RFCU. Somehow, your response seemed to fan the fire. However, in a recent RFCU, you calmed down the fire. I think the think people should be aware is that others may be tense or have anxiety during a contentious situation or article deletion possibility. The first job of the neutral admin is to try to calm things down. There are 1 or 2 admin which stand out as being quick on the trigger and not very friendly. Good luck. You'll do grow in the next month or two and then I'll likely vote "support". I've already seen more tact. Fineday 03:31, 15 July 2007 (UTC) In fact, why not write to me every 2-3 weeks and tell me what articles you've done and I might find similar interests. It's possible that I might even want to nominate you. Fineday 03:33, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

My RfA edit

Thank you very much for your support in my recent unsuccessful RfA. I am grateful for all of the advice, and hope that it will help me grow as an editor. Sincerely, Neranei T/C 11:22, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, you're right, RfA shows even your smallest faults like nothing else. It is a really good learning experience though, but it definitely takes some guts to dive in . Thanks again! Warmest regards, Neranei T/C 15:56, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Help with article about (Kirk Fraser) edit

Im sending you a request. I've look over the deletion of Kirk Fraser, The original article had the incorrect spelling of his last name. Check out the (http://www.answers.com/topic/kirk-frasier) the article is still wrong. We originally created a new page on Wikipedia with the correct spelling and paste the content from Wikipedia with the incorrect spelling of Frasier. It was shortly deleted, we once again created it again, and it was also deleted. We don't know what to do. It seems like once it's up it taken down again, when it was originally put up by some one else. We just wanted to change the spelling of the Last name and fix the content that was wrong. Can you please help me in guiding me to correct this issue. Thanks.

Hello Kwsn, could you let me know how this is going[2]. I want to take an editor to task for it and I suggest that it was uncivil attack. Your user page is great, the Termo is great, how dose it work. I could use one of those. --Domer48 23:12, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Articles for creation edit

WikiProject Articles for creation Backlog Elimination Drive News!

We are one week in to the drive, and it's already going fantastic. Numerous days of backlogs have been tackled, with hundreds of articles having been reviewed. We do, however, have some news!

First off, a HUGE congratulations to everyone participating so far. I understand some members are inactive due to vacation, but we are still making great progress.

Secondly, make sure that before you go off and review old submissions, that you review all submissions for the present day, and the day before, so that we aren't actually making a bigger backlog, by letting submissions get archived while we're checking stuff from 2006.

Third, remember to update your running total, on the drive page. Honesty is the best policy, so if you lie about the number of articles you've reviewed, we'll all make angry faces while looking at your userpage.

And, last, if you have any questions about the drive, feel free to ask me, or any other members of the project.

Great job, everyone! We're going to get that backlog!

MascotGuy edit

I screwed up with my RFCU request, but anyway this guy with strange editing habits keeps making sock puppets, very strange what he does. What I thought I would do is get a basic taste of the IP's he uses (because he uses more than one) and see if we can estimate what the next might be. See Wikipedia:Long term abuse/MascotGuy for more. Apparently he's been at it since 2005. Cheers, JetLover (talk) 21:17, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

What I was thinking is to check out the IP's he uses, and the most recent ones to see which he is currently using. Cheers, JetLover (talk) 21:21, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pestering edit

I noticed your comments on the COFS arbcom case. You appear to be a neutral editor, so I was wondering if you could point to instances where I have pestered Justanother? I've actually made it a point to avoid discussion with him unless it is absolutely necessary quite some time ago in order to avoid that appearance. It doesn't mean that pestering him is impossible, just that since I've been trying not to I'm not sure how I did which is why I'm asking you. Anynobody 02:55, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

AFC News edit

WikiProject Articles for creation Backlog Elimination Drive News!

We are nine days away from the end of the drive, and it's been fantastic! Many, many, many days of backlog have been tackled, and over 1500 articles reviewed!

To start off, a HUGE THANKS to everyone who helped out with the coordination of the drive, and actually fighting the backlog in the drive itself. Everyone's done a great job helping out, no matter how many articles you've reviewed/

Remember to update your running total, on the drive page. This is the ONLY way that I will be able to give out awards appropriately.

Lastly, I will be giving out awards on August 16th. Anyone who could help me, that would be fantastic. Contact me on my talk page if you'd like to volunteer.

Great job, everyone! This Drive has been fantastic, and I'm sure that some members of the Project have definitely made friends by collaborating on the talk pages. Thanks,
GrooveDog

Re: Patriots/cameragate edit

There a multiple clear problems. The first is that it's copied directly from ESPN.com. Secondly it contains weasel words and POV:

"Week 1 - Cheaters?" - POV
"NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has determined" -- he hasn't determined anything publicly
"Sources say" -- Mortensen's sources, not verifiable at all
"The team did not have a satisfactory explanation" -- POV

In other words, it really needs to be cleaned up before it goes in. First sourcing is a big problem, secondly it may be better to take a step back and wait, because absolutely nothing has been made official yet. Pats1 22:35, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Meh, as long as it's well-sourced. But everything at this point is "sources say" or "allegedly accused of," so it's very difficult to verify. Speculation, really. Pats1 22:39, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Right, but information that is speculative in nature is difficult to verify. Pats1 22:42, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
