Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page The Cure do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. JD554 (talk) 20:23, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Cure‎. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. JD554 (talk) 09:43, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've started a discussion regarding the external links you've added to The Cure on the article's talk page here. --JD554 (talk) 09:56, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to The Cure. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. JD554 (talk) 10:02, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to The Cure. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Breached WP:3RR

edit

A report has been made regarding you for breaching WP:3RR. Details can be found at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Alessandr79 reported by User:JD554 (Result: ). --JD554 (talk) 17:16, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is your final warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to The Cure. GorillaWarfare talk 17:28, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at The Cure. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. When your block expires, you may argue your case with respect to the links on the article talk page. Do not try to just re-add them, or you will likely face a much longer block. Favonian (talk) 17:59, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to The Cure, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for spamming or advertising. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Comment on your block

edit

Well, you did exactly what I told you previously not to do: added your external links—twice in fact, after another editor reverted you. That leaves me with no other choice than to block you indefinitely. Not only is the sole purpose of your presence at Wikipedia to add these links to assorted articles, but you also persistently engage in edit warring. You were blocked once and warned against this kind of activity, but to no avail. Favonian (talk) 08:37, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
