Ravi Zacharias's

Would you take a look at the Philosophy section of Fundamentalist theologian Ravi Zaccharias's, please? We've got an edit warrior pushing a fringe opinion that evolution is incompatible with the 2nd law of thermodynamics. 04:01, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

The article looks okay to me now. Some questionable sources and statements have been recently removed. The article seems to me to accurately state Ravi's opinion on evolution. There has long been a disclaimer that his refutation of evolution based on thermodynamics is fringe science. The formula has been that it has no support from the scientific community, which is of course true. I think some notice is needed, lest people believe thermodynamics also to be controversial. I understand your concern. However, the uncommented enumeration of his opinions in this section of the article is okay, in my opinion. He does not claim to be a scientist and this is not a science article. I don't believe that it is necessary to challenge the validity of any of his opinions unless he is notable for public controversies regarding them. I don't believe that either The Second Law or the Theory of Evolution is under serious challenge by this article as it stands. The old statement attacking his opinion and defending science, although technically correct, was irrelevant, confusing, unnecessary and unencyclopedic (in my opinion, of course!). I think this is a back door through which fringe science can and will drive a truck. The long-standing consensus language has been that this opinion has no support in the scientific community, and I think that some indication belongs in the article. Per the eroge page, "In 1999, Key released Kanon. It contains only about seven brief erotic scenes in a sentimental story the size of a long novel... Kanon is still the standard for modern eroge and is referred to as a "baptism" for young otaku in Japan. Although many eroge still market themselves primarily on sex, eroge that focus on story are now a major established part of Japanese otaku culture." In Japan, the definition of eroge is any game that contains any explicit sex scenes and/or nudity; the presence of such scenes may not necessarily be the main focus of the game. In various instances, eroge often feature a few sex scenes that only make up a small minority of the entire storyline. In the case of Axanael, which I've personally played, the main storyline revolves around the main characters and a revolver which they play a variant of Russian roulette with; the sex within the game is essentially accessory to the game itself. Think of it as something like sex scenes within a Hollywood film; they don't define the film, but they are placed there to pander towards the audience (first thing I can think of is Snakes on a Plane). Often, eroge focus on themes such as murders, solving crimes, highschool dating, and the like; G Senjō no Maō is an example of an eroge with very few sex scenes, and has the bulk focus on a detective-like story.

If you're thinking of Visual Novel-type games that focus entirely on sex, you're thinking of nukige (抜きゲ). The English Wikipedia article on eroge isn't that comprehensive, but the Japanese Wikipedia article at ja:アダルトゲーム explains the term: "もとより強姦魔が主人公の陵辱系作品や、性行為以外やることの無いいわゆる抜きゲーでは、非アダルトゲーム化は不可能である。また成年向けということから、人種・部落差別、麻薬、人身売買などの時事をストーリーに取り入れた作品は少なくないが、これも倫理上問題があるとして不可能とされる。" Essentially, these are games specifically designed for people who want a quick masturbation session, and feature things such as drugs, rape, NTR, tentacles, and the like; in Japan, there is a distinction made between ordinary eroge and nukige. --benlisquare_T•C•E 03:54, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

I appreciate that my additions may constitute some original research but upon consulting the original archived copies of Dr. Tajmar's work it appears that my hypothesis could indeed be correct. Will let you know when my paper is published, hopefully this will be rectified shortly.

Podkletnov's peer reviewed publications

I would like to point out that Eugene Podkletnov published several articles in peer-reviewed papers before the two papers that you mention as being the only ones. Just go to Google Scholar and look for publications of "E. Podkletnov" or "E.E. Podkletnov". Most are related to special materials, ceramics etc. Gmodanese (talk) 14:31, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
