June 2019 edit

Hello, I'm Ajf773. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Thessaloniki Airport, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Skg Airport edits edit

Hi Afj773...I tried to follow the tutorial but referencing and citation procedures got me totally confused and seemed too comlpicated to understand..Since i am new at this and not very tech savvy i feared of making a mess..I do have sources though for most,i just dont understand how to post them..One thing though is the ending of a route.Thomas Cook has not announced it on any official statement-press release.Nor has any other site..They just suddenly zeroed out all flights after the 14th of July, that s why i had mentioned that it ends on that date...How important are all these for you to bother though? How do you keep track of every airport on the world ? Airthess3 (talk) 00:53, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT is the Wikiproject for airport articles. It is a community consensus on the style of airport. The consensus is that airline destinations should be sourced and all beginning and end dates should contain a reference that clearly defines this date (date month and year inclusive). Ajf773 (talk) 21:27, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

So in other words if there is no official source for the ending of a route and the airline has decided to just stop serving it without going public about it, we do not mention it until the destination is taken off the airline s network?...As for the rest, if i dont succeed in posting sources, can i ask for someone 's help to guide me thru it step by step until i get the hang of it?

July 2019 edit

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Charles (talk) 21:59, 20 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Airthess3 (talk) 17:35, 21 July 2019 (UTC)Would you care to explain what kind of promotional material are you referring to? The reference link to Ryanair flights are a reliable source and not any promotion. The airline itself has already uploaded them and they are on sale and they have been announced by the airline itself and other airline sources. Why did you revert it?Airthess3 (talk) 17:35, 21 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport, you may be blocked from editing. Taumata994 (talk) 23:06, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

June 2021 edit

Hello! I saw your edit on Athens International Airport and removing some airlines like Finnair and Kuwait Airways, removing airlines doesn't mean they already drop. Also, Kuwait Airways will launch to Athens, so please take some time to read on the reference that been added. Please take note that those airlines didn't announce to drop nor stopped serving to Athens. Thank you and God bless! Cornerstone2.0 (talk) 01:43, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Airthess3 (talk) 07:27, 15 June 2021 (UTC) I have read the reference a long time ago and Kuwait has yet to include ATH to its destination list during booking process. Just because there was an announcement it doesn't mean it will go ahead. When they will open bookings to ATH, we can include it.Until then it is not valid info. Eurowings announced a few days ago Prague base with several destinations, but has not uploaded flights and starting dates. No one has yet changed Eurowings table on Prague Airport list. As for Finnair, they don't have to announce. They have, for this year stopped flying to ATH and have only direct flights to the islands. If you bother to do a dummy booking you will see there is no direct flight and they only give you option via other European hubs throughout the whole summer season. Check here the 2021 destination list they will be flying to https://news.cision.com/finnair/r/finnair-to-fly-to-over-60-destinations-in-summer-2021---flights-to-be-added-as-travel-gradually-open,c3333050.So please stop reverting what is actual or should i say factual info with hypothetical ones. If things change, we will change the info on the table. I don't rely only on simple references that don't become reality. I have them double checked on the airlines' websites and as a greek, i check daily info on flights on all major greek airports. Thank youAirthess3 (talk) 07:27, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

As for Kuwait Airways, they will gonna launch Athens as the source says. Even they haven't include in their website booking or destination map, still they'll going to update it once they are launch. All the source that provided are reliable and useful. Cornerstone2.0 (talk) 08:14, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

As for your disagreement, please read the source FIRST before you remove it. Kuwait Airways to launch twice weekly Athens service in summer 2021. Kuwait Airways plans to operate twice weekly Kuwait-Athens service with A320neo aircraft from 02-Jul-2021 to 26-Sep-2021, as per a 24-May-2021 GDS inventory and timetable display. https://centreforaviation.com/news/kuwait-airways-to-launch-twice-weekly-athens-service-in-summer-2021-1070292#:~:text=11%3A06%20PM-,Kuwait%20Airways%20to%20launch%20twice%20weekly%20Athens%20service%20in%20summer,GDS%20inventory%20and%20timetable%20display. With Kuwait Airways set to add two new routes to destinations in Europe, Routes takes a look at the airline’s current network. https://www.routesonline.com/news/29/breaking-news/295937/airline-in-focus-kuwait-airways-/ Cornerstone2.0 (talk) 08:22, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Airthess3 (talk) 14:10, 15 June 2021 (UTC) I think i answered already that i HAVE read the source a long time ago. I know routesonline, i have been following it for years. But it's the 15th of June and the airline has yet to incorporate ATH in its booking engine to allow pax to book flights. How are they going to start flying on the 2nd of July if the flight is not available for booking? What you are saying doesn't make sense. Airlines need bookings in advance to start a route. They're going to launch (empty flights) and then they will upload ATH into their website to allow bookings? What if they have decided to not launch the flights in July and postpone it for later? There is no official press release from the airline either. I will leave it for now but if 2nd July comes and there are still no flights, will you remove it? Posting intentions of flights based on references before the airline itself allows bookings and flights appear on-screen is misleading information. First it's announced, then uploaded and then shoud be posted on the airports' table so that it can be verifiable info Airthess3 (talk) 14:10, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Even til 2nd of July and no flight from Kuwait to Athens.. sure. Cornerstone2.0 (talk) 14:17, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please be reminded that your edits in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Heraklion International Airport may consider as edit warring WP:EW if you still continue to removing some airlines with reference. Also to avoid blocked from editing, please stop. Cornerstone2.0 (talk) 01:19, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Airthess3 (talk) 20:50, 17 June 2021 (UTC) It's funny how you concentrate on my editing that focuses on a table with non-existent routes following an absurd logic that has no relation to reality and you won't do the same on other people's edits..I haven't seen you "updating" Prague Airport's route table after Eurowings announcement of opening a base there and several european routes. The reference exists, the routes are not uploaded. Why don't you do the same as with AMS, Kuwait etc? What's keeping you? One would assume your are making it personal and aside from the irrationality of the whole thing, it makes you seem to be operating on double standards. Other users who edit routes that aren't there have not been treated like that. Why would my editing be considered edit-warring and not your unfounded persistence?. I never denied updating the route table. I am just waiting for the airlines to make them bookable which would indicate they have decided to operate them and i'm not basing my info on a simple announcement that may never materialize. Why is it so hard for you to understand, unless you are clueless when it comes to airline tactics, bookings etc..And it doesn't seem to be the case Airthess3 (talk) 20:50, 17 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
