West Bank edits
Since West Bank is not available for editing because of vandalising, and you've edited it several times lately, I said maybe you're the right person to refer to. I'd appreciate if if you check out the talk page at West Bank, specifically "Replacing or adding new imagery where needed?", and tell me.what you think, It'd be awesome. And you'd also be helping some of my work get through. I'll be contacting some other editors of the article also for a broader opinion. SoWhAt249 (talk) 21:50, 23 May 2020 (UTC) @SoWhAt249:
- Hi. Thank you for your hard work. I am not really a specialist in this matter. It is difficult for me to chose which imagery is the most appropriate.
- FWIW, here are my personal preferences
- favor a map with proper sources and references for such a controversial topic. for ex: https://www.ochaopt.org/content/interactive-map-occupied-palestinian-territory
- have an interactive map to zoom in (street level) and out (country level). One could download this dataset (ex: (https://data.humdata.org/dataset/state-of-palestine-other-0-0-0-0-0) ), tweak it after conversion (ex: https://mygeodata.cloud/converter/shp-to-geojson,edit: http://geojson.io/, ), upload it as dataset to wikidata (after clearing copyright uncertainties: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Map_data) and put it in the article using template:maplink, as an overlay to a dynamic openstreetmap
- Create a simplified dataset or a separated SVG if needed
- Thanks and keep on the good work. Afernand74 (talk) 11:39, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your response. I will see how I can improve my work to fit more narratives. SoWhAt249 (talk) 12:29, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
