Speedy deletion nomination of User:Absorich community

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Absorich community requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:56, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hi, i'm actually new here in wikipedia community and i dont read any policies or rulws written. Now that i have written my first ever articles and it got blocked, I knew i was wrong and realized how wikipedia community works. I am actually just trying to create a biography for a person i know because there are so many scammers using his name, so i want to make him legit on Google. I didnt know my article consists of so many red flags and breaking the policies of wikipedia. Hope my pledge is heard and my reason will be accepted. i am curious to know more and contribute more to wikipedia in future. Thank You. Absorich community (talk) 12:26, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You wrote a highly promotional draft. Please read about conflict of interest. Google searches(for which the existence of a Wikipedia article is only one possible input) play no role in determining whether someone gets an article, and the presence of a Wikipedia article does not confer or take away "legitimacy"- topics merit articles only if they meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person(in this case), as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Writing a new article is the most difficult task to attempt on Wikipedia, and diving right in as you did usually results in failure as new users don't understand what is being looked for or how articles should be written. We usually recommend that new users first gain experience and knowledge by editing existing articles in areas that interest them, as well as using the new user tutorial, before attempting the difficult task of writing a new article. You won't be unblocked to, at this time, edit about this individual. If this is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you are interested in being a general contributor and editing about topics for which you have no conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 12:44, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I might suggest that if this person has scammers conducting scams in their name, impersonating them, that they contact their local authorities or an attorney about possible legal remedies. If it's just other people with the same name(not impersonation), there's probably not much you can do. This person could try contacting Google for assistance, but that could be difficult. 331dot (talk) 12:44, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

i see, alright. thank you for your response. will do better in future. Absorich community (talk) 14:02, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
