Raj Kappoor Filmography edit

Thanks so much for doing this filmography! It's a great addition to Wikipedia. How about doing Guru Dutt too? I recently expanded the article, but didn't have time to do the filmography. Zora 10:48, 17 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Thanks again! Zora 23:17, 17 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

WP:CP edit

Hi, you've reported copyright infringements to WP:CP in the last week, a new measure was recently passed to allow the speedy deltion of new pages that are cut and paste copyvios. Please follow these instructions if you come across this type of copyvio. Thanks. --nixie 00:14, 6 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Blatant copyright infringements may now be "speedied"

If an article and all its revisions are unquestionably copied from the website of a commercial content provider and there is no assertion of permission, ownership or fair use and none seems likely, and the article is less than 48 hours old, it may be speedily deleted. See CSD A8 for full conditions.

After notifying the uploading editor by using wording similar to:

{{nothanks-sd|pg=page name|url=url of source}} -- ~~~~

Blank the page and replace the text with

{{db-copyvio|url=url of source}}

to the article in question, leaving the content visible. An administrator will examine the article and decide whether to speedily delete it or not.

Sicily eh? edit

You're most welcome for the Sicilian cart photos. I'm Canadian but lived in Sicily for 3 years recently and took lots of photos, some of which can be found here:

Catania Photos

There are plenty more under their city names at http://www.romlin.com.

Hope you like them! --Steve Rapaport 13:53, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

France in the American Revolutionary War edit

Maintenant, cet article est en Anglais, J'espère que vous l'aimez! - AKeen 23:01, 22 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

D'abord merci pour l'introduction de France in the American Revolutionary War. Yug (talk) 13:05, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
Ok, ça roule aussi, merci :] Yug (talk) 19:26, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Images edit

I understand your concern with copyrighted images, however, I don't believe it's correct to remove them from a page before they are deleted if they are relevant to the page. Deletion of {{no source}} images are up to admin discretion and part of that is if pages use the image. So please, leave the image on the pages even when they are up to be deleted... whoever deletes the images should remoev it from whatever page it's on. There is a templat (I forget the title) that you can add which will show a note that the image doesn't have proper copyright status and it would be perfectly legitimate to add that to pages, but not to remove images. Thanks. gren グレン 03:48, 18 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Peruvian Music edit

Hi there, I started an article about the premier composer of Peruvian Vals music Felipe Pinglo Alva, I had a hard time coming up with anything else. If you have any input, I'd love to see it! Keep up the good work! Pozole 14:39, 29 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thanks for the encouragement! With respect to what to call the Vals, there are two names it enjoys from what I know. Inside Peru, it is known as vals criollo and by peruvian expats, it's referred to as vals peruano. I think the proper thing to do is to call it Peruvian Vals to differentiate it from Argentine Vals Criollo, which is a known genre in its own right and perhaps explain that in Peru it's simply known as Vals Criollo. By the way, here are a couple sites that are excellent sources of information, one of them is a pretty exhaustive listing of Musica Criolla.

Wikipedia:WikiProject World music edit

Hi, I've created progress charts for WikiProject World music. Please come by and help document what we have! Hopefully, a record clearly showing where our holes in coverage lie will help move all world music articles along in the right direction. Tuf-Kat 19:06, 23 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

exscuse me but also Muriel has done this trying to get people to delete this article important for a monarchic branch.
