PDBe-KB edit

Hi. Sorry for not responding to your earlier post to my talk page. There are now over 1300 external links to the PDBe-KB. The wording of these links in my opinion is overly promotional since it starts with "PDBe-KB provides an overview". The emphasis should be about what the PDBe-KB says about the particular protein, not what the protein says about PDBe-KB. I have created a new template {{PDBe-KB2}} with suggested revised wording. Please feel free to edit. This template contains an internal Wikilink to PDBe-KB which does not exist yet. How does one cite the PDBe-KB? The only publication that I can find is PMID 30445657. Hi. Sorry if the links I have added sound promotional. That was not the intention. I will go back and change the links but it may be better if this gets incorporated into one of the protein/gene boxes so it gets on to every relevant page. Is that possible? The template looks good but I think the important difference wrt PDB (RCSB/PDBe/PDBj) sites and PDBe-KB is the aggregation of data from all PDB entries for a given protein. Is it worth highlighting that in the template by changing the proposed text to "Overview of all the structural information in the PDB for UniProt: P00698 at the PDBe-KB." A2-25 (talk) 08:43, 6 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
PDBe-KB is quite new and does not have a publication yet but will be published in the Jan 2020 NAR databases issue. A2-25 (talk) 08:43, 6 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
I have updated the template. Let me know if this is better. A2-25 (talk) 14:56, 6 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of PDBe-KB edit

Hello A2-25,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged PDBe-KB for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
