Hello, I'm Josh3580. I noticed that you made a change to an article, MOSFET, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.  —Josh3580talk/hist 01:44, 9 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Hey, I'm Drmies. It looks like you and a couple of other editors might be part of an educational project of sorts. Is that so? and if so, is there a teacher that we can chat with? Thanks. (You can respond here, on this talk page, and if you type Hey {{U|Drmies}} a little fairy sends me a note.) Oh, one more thing. In MOSFET, two things. First of all, you added bare URLs as a reference. That's better than nothing but it's not pretty--see WP:CITE on how to use a cleaner way. Second, ask yourself whether those websites are reliable sources--we have guidelines at WP:RS. Just because a knowledgeable person sets up a website, for instance, doesn't mean it can count as a reliable source for an encyclopedia. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 04:09, 9 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Hey Drmies. Thanks for your message, It was certainly helpful. In fact, I am a student at UC Berkeley majoring in electrical engineering and computer programming. A few of my buddies who are in my electrical engineering classes have recently made efforts to contribute to wikipedia pages on various topics within the realm of electronics. No teacher directly inspired us to do it, but rather we collectively decided to do it when we realized that a lot of material was missing on wikipedia that needed to be up. However, I do not know a number of the editors I have been accused of knowing. I only know DaveeBlahBlah and BatManFascination of the people put on that list. • Berkeley. Nice. Hendrix played "Machine Gun" there. So you saw the list at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#New_class_of_editors.3F? The copyvio issues are of some concern and need to be addressed. DMacks has a suspicion that one of the accounts may not be by a new editor, so to speak, and it may well be that there is some follow-up to it. Just be aware that there are questions. At the same time, these articles (like a lot of articles on electrical components--I've dabbled a bit with various tubes but it's not really my field) need a lot of help and we're grateful for any improvement. Take it easy, and drop me a line if you have questions or if I can help. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 18:09, 9 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
