Not Broken

edit

I should point out that you reverting because of Not Broken is also violating Not Broken because those links weren't broken. While they shouldn't be changing them you also shouldn't be reverting them. -DJSasso (talk) 12:43, 28 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

The other IP user introduced a piped link, which doesn't improve it. I also don't violate the WP:NOTBROKEN policy as it clearly says that redirects shouldn't be replaced for no good reason. – 78.157.68.60 (talk) 15:08, 28 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
You are right that it wasn't overly helpful for them to make that change, I didn't dispute that. But it also works the other way, your revert back was changing for no good reason since the article is unlikely to ever change from Detroit for example. Generally both types of changes are considered to be against notbroken. The spirit of the guideline is that you should always just leave them as you find them unless there is a very important reason for it to be changed. Either way its not a big deal but I thought I would point it out when a bunch of your changes showed up on my watchlist because I have seen get into trouble for going around reverting such changes as well. -DJSasso (talk) 14:56, 29 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
