Please post new messages at the bottom of my talk page. Please use headlines when starting new talk topics. Thank you.

My reasons for not registering are not a topic for conversation ... I will simply let my edits speak for themselves ... besides, registering with a username will not make me any less anonymous ... so please, just cut a "recovering Wikipediholic" some slack, and MOVE ON.

BTW, until the recent service interruption, my Verizon DSL IP username was 72.75.110.142 (talk · contribs).

Oldprodfull edit

I was BOLD. MBisanz talk 23:05, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thnx for adding it ... I'm in one of those transition phases between cycles, and didn't trust my own judgment, so I figured it would be better to let Some Other Editor be WP:BOLD regarding this edit. :-) Happy Editing! — 72.75.78.69 (talk · contribs) 10:06, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: WP:FLAG-BAND edit

If you want to put these articles into Wikipedia: space, simply move the essay from your userspace to (for example) Wikipedia:Flag band. This will also create a shortcut WP:Flag band, which you can then put into the {{essay}} template as {{essay|Flag essay}}. Any other shortcuts can then be made as if starting a new article, such as Wikipedia:FLAG-BAND, and then you can insert {{shortcut|FLAG-BAND}} at the top of the essay's raw text. Hope you understood all this, I may not have explained it as well as some others might be able to! -- Matthewedwards (talk · contribs · count · email) 00:18, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thnx! I'll take care of adding all of the Flag templates for deletion warnings as soon as the mood-elevators kick in ... maybe this weekend. :-) —72.75.78.69 (talk) 03:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, I tried adding the following:
 {{shortcut|WP:FLAG-xyz}}
 {{essay|WP:FLAG-xyz}}
to the beginning of each article/essay, which was named Wikipedia:FLAG-xyz ... and I'm not sure if that was the correct thing to do, i.e., giving the article/essay the same name as the shortcut. On the other hand, what's in a name? Besides, I have a feeling that unless they are added to Wikipedia:List of shortcuts, I fear that they shall languish in oblivion, anyway. <Sigh!> Happy Editing! — 72.75.78.69 (talk · contribs) 02:49, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK ... I think I've got it figured out ... I was getting frelled because I forgot to clear my cache, so the browser wasn't seeing the changes on a REFRESH ... User error ... using the {{shortcut}} was redundant ... I've REDIRECT'd the old user sandboxes, so legacy threads on talk pages should still work ... still not sure why some show up on CAT:SHORTFIX#Pages in category "Wikipedia shortcut box first parameter needs fixing", but I've been at it for a few hours now ... time to sleep ... Happy Editing! — 72.75.78.69 (talk · contribs) 03:53, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, well ... the spurious CAT listing must also have been a cache refresh problem, because they're no longer listed ... it all seems to be working now, and I even fixed the WP:FLAG-BAND snafu ... I also modified Template:Oldprodfull so that it recognized shorter argument names, e.g., condate instead of declinedate. :-) —72.75.78.69 (talk) 18:16, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
