SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle

edit

Hi, I've noticed you've twice deleted the following sentence from the Gameplay section of SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle:

"The improper use of deadly force (when a suspect is wounded and unable to use weapons, has surrendered or poses no threat) is penalized in the game."

Could you explain what the problem with this sentence is, please? You didn't leave an edit summary and I don't see anything wrong.

Thanks, CaptainVindaloo t c e 20:06, 8 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not gratuitously remove content from Wikipedia, as you did to the SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. CaptainVindaloo t c e 21:59, 29 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Follow up, September 2013

edit

Hello again,

Could you please explain why you keep removing the above sentence from the SWAT3 article, as you did in this edit? You aren't leaving edit summaries (which should always be made for anything more significant than correcting spelling mistakes) and you haven't replied to any messages, so nobody knows what is wrong with this statement and how it should be addressed. Thank you, CaptainVindaloo t c e 21:12, 25 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

[1] I've asked you enough times to explain what the problem is, and you haven't even acknowledged. I see no further reason to continue assuming good faith. Further removals will be treated as vandalism. CaptainVindaloo t c e 20:09, 30 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Edit war on SWAT 3

edit

Hello. You appear to be involved in an edit war on SWAT 3.

While the three-revert rule is hard and fast, please be aware that you can be blocked for edit warring without making 3 reverts to an article in 24 hours. You are not entitled to 3 reverts and edit wars may be slow-moving, spanning weeks or months. Edit wars are not limited to 24 hours.

If you are unclear how to resolve a content dispute, please see dispute resolution. You are expected to cooperatively engage other editors on talk pages rather than reverting their edits. Note that posting your thoughts on the talk page alone is not a license to continue reverting. You must reach consensus.

If you feel your edits might qualify as one of the small list of exceptions, please apply them with caution and ensure that anyone looking at your edits will come to the same conclusion. If you are uncertain, seek clarification before continuing. Quite a few editors have found themselves blocked for misunderstanding and/or misapplying these exceptions. Often times, requesting page protection or a sockppuppet investigation is a much better course of action.

Continued edit warring on SWAT 3 or any other article may cause you to be blocked without further notice. Toddst1 (talk) 17:59, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for edit warring, as you did at SWAT 3. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Bishonen | talk 18:35, 19 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello again.

As you can see, this has gone too far now. Can we please try to resolve this issue? If you have a genuine reason for wanting to delete that sentence, then can you please tell me what it is? Do you not like the wording? Do you think the point is unnecessary? Or is it something else? Just post a message on this page, Talk:SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle or on User talk:CaptainVindaloo, that's all it takes.

Cheers, CaptainVindaloo t c e 19:36, 19 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've just made a complete rewrite of the Gameplay section to make it clearer and easier to understand. See if you prefer this version. CaptainVindaloo t c e 22:23, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your edit to Bulworth, I accidentally undid as vandalism, albeit it is unconstructive. Please forgive me. Sportsguy17 (click to talkcontributions) 22:51, 21 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm PCHS-NJROTC. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Steve Crosetti, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
