January 2020 edit

  Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Seattle NHL team are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines, not for general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. Request reason:

"I did not make any "disruptive edits". I edited Charles Stuart (murderer) and provided a cite for my added content. This was reverted, and a message was left on my talk page falsely accusing me of vandalism. I immediately addressed the issue at Talk: Charles Stuart and made my concerns known to the user who had reverted my edit. I told this user that I was trying to reach consensus and directed him/her to the relevant article talk page. Subsequently, this user restored my original edit. It appears that consensus has been reached, but I am now accused of "disruptive editing" and blocked. Someone needs to review this successful collaborative effort, because it has been grossly misinterpreted." 47.137.181.252 (talk) 03:21, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Your edits were clear violations of WP:NOR. Yamla (talk) 11:02, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Extension of block/Permanent Ban edit

@Berean Hunter:

Hi,

I'm no expert, but it looks like this IP Address has just been blocked for 6 months for some contentious edit warring on the Charles Stuart talk page. However, one look at some earlier edits from 2018-2019, shows that they have previous of some pretty inflammatory stuff, not least comments about Angela Merkel or this comment about Latasha Harlins on the LA riots talk page, saying that she was "a shoplifter killed in self-defence" who had nothing to do with the riots anyway, which is not only factually inaccurate (as can be seen on CCTV) but disrespectful to the memory of a 15-year old girl and shocking to read.

I'm sure that there's more that could be found, but this IP's address grammatical mistakes in English and disrespectful behaviour from earlier surely should be taken into consideration?

Regards,
